  If you are looking for a medical practice in Malibu that actually cares about your health and respects your time, do not go to this UCLA Health location. This office operates like a corporate patient mill that prioritizes trapping you into a billable encounter over providing adequate care. I arrived 10 minutes late for an appointment to get new cholesterol labs done. Instead of the front desk staff being honest and simply rescheduling me, they intentionally ushered me into an exam room just to ensure they could trigger a billing code. Dr. Frochtzwajg rushed into the room, quickly glanced at my old lab values, gave a hurried explanation, checked my pulse, and then announced he 'didn't have time' to do the actual labs I came in for because I was late. He then immediately left. UCLA Health then had the audacity to bill my insurance $508 for a Level 3 Established Patient Office Visit (CPT 99213). Management knew exactly what they were doing: they squeezed me into a room to do the absolute bare minimum required to legally justify a $508 charge, while flat-out refusing to provide the primary service the appointment was booked for. A reputable, ethical clinic would have stopped me at the front desk and rescheduled. This UCLA location chose to financially exploit the situation instead. The staff and management here clearly view patients as nothing more than walking billing codes. Protect your wallet and find an independent doctor in our community who won't play these types of corporate billing games.

  I came here after tearing my ACL and Dr. Boland was the first doctor that genuinely cared about my wellbeing and recovery. He listened to everything I said and saw me pretty quickly! This staff at this office was amazing! I’m surprised they don’t have a higher rating. Thank you everyone for your support and kindness, it meant a lot especially after such terrible experiences elsewhere.

  The doctors and staff are nice, but waiting time 90min (with appointment!) is unacceptable. Update: I had another appointment today. I (“only”) waited 30min this time. The doctors are great and the facility is updated and clean.
