They DO pay to advertise on Google if you search for "Optometrists that accept Medi-Cal for children" and "Medi-Cal Optometrists". Our doctor also told us we could go literally anywhere and we get 1 free pair of glasses per year, maybe our doctor gave us bad information. Went into my appointment today with my son: "Will you be using insurance?" "Yes, we have medi-cal" "We don't accept Medi-cal" "Oh, you don't accept our insurance I thought you did?" "We never did" "I guess I"ll go then" "OK." I guess this place ain't for the poors lol, looking on their website now it looks like theres some caveats but I guess they didn't have time for all that

The rest of the staff was very friendly and helped my find the right frames. Will definitely be returning to this store for glasses in the future. Only issue it was tough to find parking on this stretch of 3rd. Recommend going south of 3rd to find street parking.
