Always good Dr's always a good experience.
Honestly the biggest rip off ever is I HAVE to go to this place for my son’s specialist that he needs and having to pay $17 for parking ! I get everywhere else but a drs office charging parking is insane! Some families are stressed out as it is having to take their loved ones to a specialist, most who were born with a disability, then having to pay almost $20 for a 30 min visit.

I am 66 years old, disabled, and was rendered temporarily blind in one eye due to an infection on the optic nerve. I have received authorization from my health carrier (LA Care) for services by the Jules Stein Eye Institute for follow-up and treatment. I have been trying to get an appointment for nearly 4 months now. My medication to prevent relapse needs refill, and I am at risk of permanent blindness. Never have I experienced such incompetence at the front desk of any medical practice or institution. Jules Stein virtually never answers their phone. When there is a pickup there is an immediate hang up. I got through to an operator only once during my dozens and dozens of calls. She transferred me to Oculaplastics scheduling voicemail. I left a message and was never called back. I called my clinic and my insurance company (LA Care) to make certain all documents had been faxed over to Jules Stein including the authorization and referral and all supporting documents. All were sent on multiple occasions. This is inexcusable and constitutes gross negligence and malpractice.

If you want the best doctors at a world-renowned facility and don’t want to worry about being pushed into unnecessary procedures, UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute is the place to go. Many private, for-profit eye centers are influenced by revenue generation, whereas being a top public medical center eliminates the need to upsell treatments. Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely ridiculous!!! They can’t accommodate patients in painful situations. I needed a very painful eye stye drained. IMPOSSIBLE to get an appointment, I called all three of their locations no Dr. could see me for TWO MONTHS! I couldn’t wait that long for treatment. One office never called me back. Was referred to their eye urgent care in Westwood, got there and was told they don’t treat styes. So now I’m forced to go out of network and pay out of pocket. Hire more doctors if there is a two month waiting list. They don’t care. I expect more from UCLA and a large eye institute!
