Horrible experience!!!
Had a D&C under full anesthesia. They refused to track my hcg back to zero, which is pretty routine.
I contacted the office when I was still testing positive for weeks and weeks after the D&C procedure, and on the video call they assured me it's fine. I started bleeding again for 12 days, and at 8+ weeks post D&C, I returned for an ultrasound and had RPOC. (Had to have two painful transvaginal ultrasounds in the same appointment, btw, because the first tech didn't know what she was doing.) And the office was DISGUSTING. Hair and dirt on the floor. That alone was jarring. I felt very uncomfortable and not safe.
Now they're saying I need another D&C or I risk infection... I'm already a very high-risk heart patient. I’m trying the pill first to clear things up, but if it came to it, I would NOT trust this department with another procedure.
Oh, and they charged over $2,000 for the D&C when they were not supposed to--my healthcare requires NO patient payment for that service. It was purely an ERROR. We had to wait weeks before a refund came through!
GO TO Cedars instead! The care from Family Planning and OBGYN at UCLA has been AWFUL from start to finish, from dragging their feet on routine lab work and an incomplete D&C. This whole experience has extended an already emotionally and physically traumatic experience for me tenfold.
Save yourself the heartache and run away.
