Charged $864 for a 15 minute appointment where the doctor told me that everything is ok and to come back in 6 weeks if my foot is still bothering me. I requested for them to check that the billing was correct and they said they will submit it for review. A few weeks later I am told that my bill is on the verge of being sent to collections.

Today podiatry open late according to a email yesterday open 8am and doors unlocked after 8:16am. Even another patient waiting for her appointment at 8:15am and doctors say arrive 15 mins early. How is that good service when you not giving the correct time the office opens and makes patients life harder to get to do own commitments. Apparently ucla is #1 but today they failed for customer service

Doctor might as well be a snake oil salesman. He pushed for 20x more expensive “custom fit” orthotics with the promise that they would be far superior yet that aren’t covered by insurance and require another return visit just to pick up …only to discover they look and fit just like the generic OTC ones you can buy on Amazon for a fraction of the price. If I had known how flimsy these supposed custom fit orthotics would be, I certainly would not have agreed to order them. On top of that, the prior time I went in their own staff couldn’t even figure out how to measure my shoe size.

I've been bringing my mother here for over 10 years for foot and ankle care. With maybe 2 exceptions in all those years, every visit is usually professionally and compassionately handled. Dr. David Mejia is both kind and efficient. There are others who have stepped in when Dr. Mejia was not available and they were equally professional. ***I agree that shoe orders take too long and I believe it has to do with poor follow-up on the assistance end, not the doctor. I suggest when an order is placed make sure you get an estimated date, not an estimated timeframe. Let them know you'll call on that date and keep a log with all needed info including who you spoke with. Tbh, you might be better off buying your own shoes at Chicwide Shoes, The Walking Store, or any specialty shoe store.

Same as the last review. I got a night splint/orthotic and they would not how much it was. Later on I find they billed my insurance $150 for something I later ordered direct from the manufacturers authorized reseller for $50. They are unethical and will bill your insurance for as much as they think they can milk you for. Do not buy durable medical equipment from them . Buy it online yourself and save their 200% markup.
