I have dealt with several hiccups with UCLA Health over the years, but I am ending all ties especially with UCLA Health and would urge others to do the same if they want to receive safe, timely, quality care and not risk expensive corrective procedures. I was refused by several urgent care centers and primary care to get my facial stitches removed and since UCLA Santa Monica ER did these stitches, I tried calling UCLA Plastic Surgery a week in advance to inquire about getting an appointment or else a referral to where I might be able to get my case addressed. Nobody ever got back to to me in the turnaround times given, so I had to make several repeat calls. Each subsequent time I was told that my inquiries were documented and forwarded, but I never got a response. Lo and behold, the stitches I needed removed were poorly done and I need restitching by a plastic surgeon. Because I was refused care by UCLA Plastic Surgery and just totally blown off, I had to find a private practice that does not have the resources to provide me the same level of care I could expect from a large institution, it has been impossible to get my medical records (if any were even properly kept) without hefty fees, and I am now dealing with an aftermath of bad scarring.
I was curious about cosmetic plastic surgery prices and sent them an email asking for a price range to see if it was affordable. I view this as a normal request--they are selling a service and I am a potential buyer of that service. Strangely --and unlike any other plastic surgeon in Los Angeles--they want you to PAY for a consultation before they will reveal prices, which is such a scam! DONT FALL FOR IT

During my visit at this clinic medical center I'm very disappointed about Doctor w ozaki he is rude an very negative environment I didn't feel welcoming during my visit at this place seems like he doesn't enjoy doing his job or he don't like transgender people not sure about it just saying my impressions before my visit I was told by a friend that he's like that, unprofessional and rude and better looking to another place to have my surgery .

The front desk staff and Dr. Andrew L. Da Lio were amazing and took great care of me. I had an accident and had bit through my tongue splitting it.
I was not sure whether it needed surgery and what type of doctor to go to. I called several ENT doctors, and all them could not see me. I also was not sure if Urgent Care could handle this.
I was nearby UCLA anyway and walked up to the front desk and told her my situation.
She spoke to the manager, and to Dr Da Lio who said they would see me right away and let me know if I needed surgery or not. Even this consult was a huge benefit.
In the room, Dr Da Lio was straightforward and caring. He and his medical assistant decided that the bite was severe enough to require 5 stitches to heal better. He did it right there on the spot and my tongue is healing very well.
I am so thankful that his staff worked to accommodated me -- I wasn't even a patient of UCLA. I'm even more thankful that Dr. Da Lio is so skilled and helped put my tongue back together.
Thank you
