Poor service, no attention to patient needs
My doctor told me I could have my labs done at quest since it is closer to where I live, accordingly I made an appointment with Quest and waited to be called, after half an hour passed they called my name to tell me there are no labs ordered for me, they looked online, faxes and emails and could not find anything, I called UCLA office and explained the situation, Stephanie put me on hold for a long time when she finally came back on the phone she apparently had talked to Erica and I was told Quest have the orders now, do not worry they have the orders now. so I went back to quest lab and had to wait to be called again, again I was told there are no lab orders for me, I was extremely frustrated called UCLA again, waited till they answered and now I got Adam on the phone I explained to him the situation, his answer is they “should” have received the order, So several hours later I left without having my blood drawn.
So my question to the high paying managers at UCLA, is if there is such a problem with inconvenience to the patient why none of the wonderful employees of UCLA who answered my phone and knew the problem, why none of them said 1-we are very sorry for the inconvenience and 2-let me call quest and see what is going on rather than telling me go back to the lab they “should “ have the orders. Why none of them took the initiative to make sure the problem is solved ( I guess they do not care)
3-Did they really send the orders or maybe they thought whenever I get a chance I will sent them,
To the office manager and the director of clinical services , is this how you would like to be treated?
My understanding is that 30% of UCLA expenses get paid by taxpayers, maybe that is why they don’t care! Maybe they need someone like Musk to check on the $$ that taxpayers send to UCLA , maybe if they don’t get free money, they would act in a better way.
