  I come here to donate every 2 to 8 weeks, and I have only always had exceptional experiences! The staff are so welcoming, caring, and attentive. The snacks and coffee maker are super nice. I always get a latte right before sitting in the donation chairs where you can watch any tv show or movie. They give you heated blankets and check on you often. If you're uncomfortable or thirsty or hungry, just ask and they bring you anything you need. The free movie tickets are a nice bonus :) I havent paid for a movie in 3 years.

  UCLA BLOOD CENTER EMPLOYEES ARE THE BEST. Good service and the environment is awesome, they make you feel like a family. They served you with free snacks before you donate blood and after as well. They awarded you with great gifts after donating blood, platelets or plasma. Thanks to all of you and the ones are donating for the ones that needed. “Keep coming and donate”

  No, they no longer give out free Diddy Reese cookies, but if you are a UCLA employee you get 4 hrs comp time or you can get a number of other tempting incentives. Typically they have movie tickets or cool lunch coolers to give to donors but if you catch them on an off day, get pleasure in knowing you are saving lives! Booking appointments aren’t needed but its super simple and saves you the wait time on busy days. Most of the time you can get same day appointments. 12.5 has easily become my least favorite number. I’ve relentlessly and religiously tried (try) and donate but if you are low on iron they are pretty strict and will not let you donate. I would suggest eating Complete Oat Bran Flakes, some Total or TJ’s Frosted Maple and Brown Sugar Shredded Wheat’s. My iron was a 12.1 and I was denied and that was after taking an iron pill. So plan ahead. The staff is always courteous! When you do get to donate the donor area is super cozy with tons of tvs and you even get warming blankets if it gets too nippy. Overall fantastic center! They also validate parking and provide you with refreshments for after you donate. Well even if you get denied they offer 

  I've been coming to donate my blood here for years now. I've gotten to know some of the staff and they are very friendly. I always have a great experience here minus the wait times, but that would be anywhere you want to donate blood. The perks for donating blood are great and you feel good about saving lives, at least I do. I'm almost at my 2 gallon mark! The phlebotomists are experts! I've had blood drawn from me at hospitals or other donation places and i've bruised, but here I've never bruised or felt much pain from the needle. I appreciate the warm blanket they always put on me and the snacks they have after you donate. They always strive to serve donors with the best quality service and I'm thankful. That is why I keep coming here!
