I know this review is long overdue, but I want to share how grateful I am to RMA of SoCal. We started our journey with them in June 2023 after struggling with unexplained infertility, and with the care of Dr. Kim and Nurse Katia, we moved forward with IVF in January 2024.
Their compassion, clarity, and support made such an emotional process feel manageable and even hopeful. They always took the time to answer questions and made me feel genuinely cared for every step of the way.
Today, we have our baby girl, and I truly don’t think we’d be here without them. I’m endlessly grateful for the entire team and would recommend them to anyone navigating fertility challenges.

I just finished an egg retrieval cycle with Dr. Landay at RMA Los Angeles. I can't say enough good things about my overall experience. From my initial consult, Dr. Landay spent at least 45 minutes with me (maybe more) explaining female fertility, statistics, and the process of egg freezing. I decided to go through with it and I am so happy I did. RMA made the entire process very easy and I felt that they provided excellent care. My cycle was incredibly successful after following all of the detailed protocols. Not only was Dr. Landay fantastic, but my phlebotomist, Jacqueline, was exceptional. I saw her frequently as I had my appointments. She is amazing at her job and always made me feel so comfortable and taken care of. She added such a human touch to a daunting process and arduous routine. My nurse on retrieval day was Elizabeth, and she was also so fantastic and made me so comfortable. Would highly recommend this clinic for anyone wanting to inquire about freezing their eggs.

I’m incredibly grateful for the care and professionalism I experienced at RMA. From intake through scheduling and treatment, the entire team is proactive, responsive, and genuinely kind, making an otherwise overwhelming process feel manageable.
My nurses consistently followed up, returned calls promptly, and made themselves available by phone or app to answer questions. I always felt supported and informed.
Dr. Landay and her team are wonderful, and I can’t thank them enough for guiding me through my egg-freezing experience.

Unfortunately, my experience with RMA SoCal began on a very poor note. I was directed to Ashley, the Admin Manager, to ask questions about my consent forms. She became frustrated quickly, spoke to me in a patronizing manner, and repeatedly cut me off while I was speaking. When I asked if I could please finish my sentence, she responded, “No,” and said she had other patients to attend to. She then told me that because I would not sign the documents (without having my question answered), my appointment would be canceled and their legal team would contact me.
This felt like a major missed opportunity to build trust at the very beginning of care. Consent forms explicitly encourage patients to ask questions, yet when I did exactly that, I was dismissed in a condescending and abrupt manner. The strong pressure to sign documents without discussion, followed by hostility when questions were raised, made me feel uncomfortable and unheard.
Even if I do hear back from their legal team, this interaction alone has made me question whether this is a place where patient concerns are respected. I’m sharing this so others are aware of how questions about consent may be handled before deciding to move forward.
Edited from one star to four after speaking with Ashley and Dr. Kim, who were sincere and remedied my experience. My follow up with Dr. Kim was on par with the excellent care I received during my initial egg freezing cycle, and I would not hesitate to recommend him as a medical provider.
While I’ll never know what caused the behavior of the front desk the other day, I am hopeful that it’s taken seriously and prevented from happening again.

I froze my eggs with RMA SoCal previously and had a good experience with Dr. Landay. I am now in a position to fertilize them and tried to get information on when appointments to do so would become available, due to expiring insurance coverage. Because Dr. Landay was booked out, I scheduled a telehealth appointment with Dr. Kim and was also told I would get a follow up beforehand since the timing was tight and I’d need to pivot if nothing was available coming up.
After not receiving a follow up, I called the day of my appointment with Dr. Kim and they said they had no appointment for me on record. So on top of not getting a follow up, they lost my appointment which has never happened to me at a doctors office in my life. Not even the wrong date was scheduled for me, they just had no upcoming appointments on file at all.
The receptionist said she would get ahold of Dr. Kim to see if he could still see me at my scheduled time — as his calendar was somehow open — and that she would call right back. 20 minutes past my appointment and I still hear nothing. I then tried calling a couple times, but it went to voicemail. Thinking they were maybe ignoring my number, I called from a different line and guess what? They picked up! Except the moment I said it was me, she said she had another call (huh?) and had to put me on hold. After 7 minutes of waiting on hold, she sends me back to voicemail. I try calling again and someone briefly picks up (a rustling sound) then sends me back to voicemail once more. Clearly they just don’t want to talk to me. I am hoping that my appointment is the only thing they’ve messed up.
This is a terrifying experience for a clinic that has my frozen eggs. I have never experienced something so unprofessional in a medical office before. If Dr. Kim or Dr. Landay sees this, please call me. I am clearly getting nowhere with the front desk.
