I would highly recommend anyone looking to have oral surgery done at this location to reconsider. I had a lingual frenectomy performed by Dr. Afar in this office in mid November. I have had serious complications and permanent damage from the surgery.
I was assured by the surgeon he was comfortable and up-to-date on current frenectomy practices. It was clear to me within the first few hours post-op that he hit a nerve and created serious complications. A tongue specialist recently analyzed the footage I had of the initial surgery and observed 1) significant oral bleeding atypical of a frenectomy procedure and 2) thus going blind cutting through blood-covered tissue. Because of this, my post-op recovery was excruciatingly difficult. I couldn’t eat solid foods for 2 weeks, had significant speech and swallowing issues, and have permanent numbness and mobility restrictions under and around my tongue. As a singer and professional voice user, this has significantly impacted my quality of life and career, indefinitely.
I have spent thousands in appointments and surgery revisions to correct the damage Dr. Afar has done to my tongue. Please reconsider ANY surgery you have by him or at this dental location.

Came here for a second opinion. I felt they were much more honest about what I really needed done and didn't try to over sell me on services. They understood I was on a budget and helped me figure out my insurance and the best way financially to get the work I needed done. I feel like they genuinely care about my well-being. I have recommended this practice to others and they too have been very happy.
I went because they had the earliest availability for a cleanign. They charged $75 for fluoride and $75 for irrigation, which was just high enough above market rate to raise concerns. They then suggested almost $1000 in dental work, and when I asked for a second opinion, even the receptionist who booked appointment said their suggestions didn't make any sense. I want to give the benefit of the doubt to professionals, but I was really uncomfortable when a woman who was neither the hygenist nor the dentist was asking me to sign off on expensive treatments that I didn't have a full grasp of and it was relayed with a sense of urgency when these concerns haven't been raised by any other past dental providers
If I could give them negative stars I would. The mold for my dentures was lopsided and I knew it, I told Dr Afar but Dr Afar told me over and over again about how he has decades of experience and that if it was lopsided he would know, not me since I had never had dentures before.
Turns out they were very lopsided and he tried to grind them down to be level, first he wanted to grind my real teeth down to accommodate the lopsided dentures but I refused. I have an upper denture that is ground down so thin that it cracked in many places and looks horrible, not to mention the headache I get when I wear them because they are uneven.
This place also billed me for additional money more than a year after I had paid them in full, they are very shady. The turnover in assistants is pretty high, he treats them terribly, yelling at them over minor things
He wears an expensive fountain pen on a chain around his neck, he "lost" it one day and was "sure" it was stolen so he dressed all the employees up and down accusing them of stealing it. He found it in his couch at home a few days later, he had fallen asleep and it slipped into the cushions.
The man has a terrible temper, the story about the pen was from his lips, he was proud of the way his employees cowered when he yelled at them.
Don't go there, between the bad dentures, the temper tantrums and the over billing this place should be avoided.
Oh and he pays $25 for good reviews, so you know why he has good reviews, he paid for them, he didn't earn them
