We are new to caregiving services for our mother. Our first experience was with a program that could not cover the hours needed. My sister found Homestead, and we were exposed to a new world of caregiving. They came to our house to meet my mother and determine the care we needed, and immediately, they were able to provide staffing. Although we had about 3 different caregivers. The staff really works hard to find the right fit. On our 3rd caregiver assigned to come work with us, we got an awesome person named Michelle! On her first day, she arrived early to make sure she was at the correct location. Which was so important because another caregiving services company we used they would consistently showed up late, and we had no support to resolve this. When Michelle arrived, she spent time getting to know us as a family, which is important. She shared her extensive years of experience and how she got in the field. This is also important when you are about to have someone take care of your loved ones. She spent time finding out what our needs were and also building a great rapport with my mother, because that is who she was there to work with. We felt very safe and confident in leaving our mother in her care. Michelle has such a great personality and was willing to go the extra mile for Mom's comfort. Our mother is sometimes in a wheelchair and the majority of the time in bed. Michelle would take her out on walks in the neighborhood and at times, sit out front just enjoying the view. Homeinstead was very accommodating to our schedule needs and were just a phone call away if we had questions. As a whole, they are very professional. I have experienced calling agencies, and you leave messages, and it's days before they get back with you. There was always a person answering the phones and ready to help. They would call to confirm what scheduling was, and you never wondering if someone was going to show up. This is the best service for in-home care that I have experienced. I highly recommend them!!!

Janice cares for my mom two to three days a week. She is one of our first care givers for mom. Not just watches her, but does laundry, waters the flowers, shares your lunchtime with her. Thanks for for providing her to us.

My father has a caregiver visit 2x a week . She always makes sure he eats when she is there and also showers. She is very kind and one of the best care givers he has had so far.
