  I visited Vons pharmacy to obtain my antibiotics. After a wait of 20 minutes in a small waiting area, the clerk informed me that my insurance would not cover this medication. I inquired about the price, and he stated it was $45, to which I agreed to pay. After another 20 minutes, I was called, and the pharmacist presented the medication, instructing me to take it all today. I clarified that this was contrary to my doctor's instructions, as it was supposed to be administered in three doses. He offered to contact my doctor, and I consented. After approximately 10 minutes, I again checked with him regarding the call to my doctor. He admitted that he had not made the call and that he had misread the order, which was intended to be for three packages. I accepted this information. Following another 15 minutes, I was informed that the order was ready, but only for one dose, and that I would need to retrieve the remaining two doses the following day. I presented my credit card for payment and noticed that I had been charged $116. I expressed my confusion, as I had been informed the cost was $45, and now it was $116. He explained that the $45 was only for one dose. My primary concern lies with his attitude, which I believe is inappropriate for his professional role.

  Currently on hold and have surpassed 10 minutes of such. The customer service is unpleasant. There seems to be no sense of urgency. My provider ordered an inhaler for me on a Thursday, they did not have it available. When asked when it would be available I was told Friday 1day after the expected ETA. I had not received a call on Friday so I reached out and faced a prolonged hold greater than 10 minutes. When I finally reached the pharmacy tech, I was told they forgot to order it and if he ordered it now it would arrive on Tuesday. I asked if there was another Vons that had my medication in stock and was told that I could attempt to call every Vons in the area to find it but they can’t help me. Overall a completely unprofessional experience and I do not appreciate the lack of effort provided by the pharmacy tech I spoke with. I am disappointed that they had no solution for me to obtain my prescription. Very disorganized and flippant regarding a matter that shouldn’t be treated as such.
