    My experience today was very poor. The dentist and technician were having conversations with other staff about lunch and other personal conversations while I was having my cavity filled and prepped for the new crown. Also the Dentist received a phone call during my procedure as her ringer was on and next to my ear. She then put me on hold and took the phone call in the other room. Then returned to my dental procedure. Additionally the technician initially took an impression of the wrong tooth to be prepped for the crown. When the dentist was done with the drilling and prep for my temporary crown she did not come back to see how I was doing. By the time I was done with my temporary crown with the technician the Dentist had already left for the day. With out checking in on myself the Patient! So completely rude and unprofessional. I was literally treated like a number and not a human having a major procedure done. Lastly, the office Manager that reviewed and took my billing tried to charge me for a procedure I did not have done on this visit. When I told her that I had not had the additional deep cleaning done on my left half of my mouth she snapped that she wasn’t including this in the billing of $946.00 that she was demanding to collect. When I told her that $946.00 was not the price I was quoted for the new crown with my insurance coverage she was dismissive and told me I was incorrect. When she took my credit card to bill me the $946.00 she then realized that I was indeed correct. And that I should only be charged $696.00 And that she had circled the wrong amount and that I indeed did not have the deep cleaning done like I had told her. Instead of listening to myself ( the client, the patient) with compassion and understanding she stood on her point with a snarky attitude that I was incorrect and that I would be paying the $946.00. She did see her mistake and charged me correctly at $646.00 after going round and round with her about the discrepancy. I have been going to Gentle Dental for over 10 years. Never had I been treated like this and seen such utter unprofessionalism. This appointment at Gentle Dental Grossmont in La Mesa was truly a disgrace and lack of any sort of professionalism from a dentist office I have EVER received or wish for any other patient. Deplorable is how I would rate this visit.

    Dr. Ali is the best dentist I’ve seen and she makes the experience the most comfortable. She is very compassionate and I highly recommend her !!

    I enjoyed the helpful and friendly staff. Giselle took the time to explain all concerning a Partial that I might decide to get.Dr Ali was prompt and thorough in her explanation of all, with friendlyness and a smile as well as the X-ray tech. Thank you

    This is my feedback to their request for feedback: I’m rating my only two appointments thus far. During my initial appointment, I was told that I require the following care, but after a recent appointment with my primary care dentist, he stated. PCD = (Primary care dentist) 1: Gentle Dental said that I had a cavity. (PCD): Doctor Krupnak stated that he agrees that there is a very small possible cavity. 2: your office told me that I have only had one root canal. (PCD): Doctor Krupnak showed me where I have had two root canals on teeth directly next to one another. 3: your office gave me a care plan that I needed a crown. (PCD): Doctor Krupnak Says that he does not see anywhere in my mouth that requires a crown. 4: Your treatment plan states that I either need a root canal, or have an infection in one of my teeth, or I was told that directly. (PCD): Doctor Krupnak Disagrees 100%. He sees no evidence that I need a root canal or have an infection.. 5: nearly every day in your treatment plan was contradicted by my regular dentist during a yearly check up after I saw you for the second time for a cleaning. 6: I do not like the fact that you try to up. sale me on a PERIO protect scan for $750 out-of-pocket if my insurance didn’t pay, if I went ahead and had the scan done at that time. I sent that request to the VA in a secure message as soon as you all presented it to me and they will decide, but I’m not coming out of pocket for any of this. I came out of pocket when I served my country. 6: I chose Dr. Stephen Gallos…. I believe that’s superior dentist that I selected, having no idea that he was part of a dental group. I would never have picked him if I was aware that he only shows up once a month, which is normally not a big deal but actually it is because I shouldn’t be able to see him in a irrational time if the need arrives. 7: my primary dentist, doctor KRUPNAK informed me that I was not supposed to see a general dentist for my initial appointment. I was supposed to see the Periodontist. You are referred me or are referring me to an endodontist, but I’m just so confused at this point… PS during my appointment with my regular dentist, he called you all multiple times because he needed your treatment plan, and I had taken pictures of it on my phone, but your plan didn’t state which tooth needed what treatment, and he says that he didn’t receive any information at the VA. After my dentist had to get off the phone because my appointment was basically ruined with him since he couldn’t figure out what you all want it done where. I followed up with you after leaving my dentists office and spoke to a lady in your office to request a copy of my treatment plan numbered with what teeth needed what and you never sent it as of this day March 12, 2026 WOW… I made a mistake to the feedback that I sent you directly regarding the date, but this date is correct. That is a really harsh first impression. Right?
