We had an excellent experience with Dr. Anna Reiser while treating my son's elbow injury from baseball. As a catcher and pitcher, he kept feeling slight pains and after an appointment with his orthopedic surgeon, it was recommended to see someone to help with the pain and to learn how to strengthen the area to avoid potential future injuries.
Dr. Anna was incredibly thorough in both the eval and treatment. She was able to assess my son's sports-related injury and she tailored a plan addressing not only the pain but also the root cause. Each session was purposeful and built on the last, and the progress was noticeable. NOTE: My son did have "homework exercises" which he did--so you do have to remember PT works when you do those!
What really made a difference was how well everything was explained—from the diagnosis to the exercises, and what to expect at each stage of recovery. You could see how he got stronger over time.
Beyond their expertise, my son felt comfortable and motivated, which can be half the battle with young athletes.
The facility itself is well-maintained and clearly focused on rehabilitation. Alyssa at the front desk always has a smile on her face and seems to know everyone by name--which is rare but it was nice. She provides a comfortable space for all the patients (old, young, personable or not) and she is very professional, knowledgeable, and supportive.
We’re grateful for the care we received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Anna and Progressive Physical Therapy!

This is by far the best PT place I've ever been to (and I've been to several all over socal). If you have hypermobility or EDS this is the best place to go. They are the only reason I can keep my health up, and pursue my career. I 100% recommend this place both Ann and Anna are great!

Progressive physical therapy in Irvine has been so helpful in my complex medical journey. They've helped my quality of life increase, my range of motion become more stable, and they have been so understanding through so many challenges.
Ann Ludolph has been specially trained in Manual PT and the Muldowney Method, which really helps with my EDS and hypermobility. My SI Joint Phisycal therapy with Ann has been an ongoing success as well. The encouragement and wonderful staff really help encourage me and lift my spirits when things are tough.
I would recommend progressive physical therapy, in both Costa Mesa and Irvine, to anyone looking for a Great physical therapy group.
Best wishes on your PT journey to anyone who is here reading the reviews!

Dr. Sean Kim has an extensive background in kinesiology and physical therapy, and that extra experience he has as well as his dedication to listening to his patients, being complete with his physical exams, and having great bedside manner is what makes him such an excellent therapist. I am happy to drive an extra 30 minutes each way to see him. His staff he has been able to retain are also excellent and very professional. Highly recommend!

When first going to Progressive Physical Therapy (PPT) recommended by a friend in Costa Mesa, I was delighted to find that their Irvine office was only 10 minutes from my home. I have been to other PTs in past years without improvement but with Sean and Michelle, taking the time to really listen to my concerns, and the time to use the latest tested physical therapy techniques, I have found relief from lower back pain. I started with pain simply rolling over in bed, which woke me multiple times during the night, limited mobility, and limping while walking, to being able to enjoy every day activities without discomfort. One of the best parts of PPT is that they are always on time, never had to wait and the aides are exceptionally attentive and there to help with the exercises. The entire staff is helpful and very amicable. It was a pleasure to go there. I have already recommended them to other friends and will continue to do so.
