My son was already seated in the blood extraction chair and ready for his blood draw when the staff stopped the procedure because a patient with an appointment arrived about two minutes late. Despite my son already being inside and prepared, we were told he could not proceed. Turning away a patient who is already seated and ready for a blood draw is very disappointing and unprofessional. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and stress for us. I hope this incident is reviewed and that patients who are already in the chair and ready for a procedure are not turned away in the future.

I had a very disappointing experience at Quest Diagnostics - Hercules last Thursday (the 27th). I arrived at 8:20 AM as a walk-in and checked in using the kiosk. The system told me the estimated wait time would be 30 to 60 minutes. I ended up waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes — and was never seen. There is no front desk staff to assist patients, so there’s no one to ask for updates or clarification. Only one employee was working, drawing blood for all patients. When one scheduled patient didn’t show up, I expected to be called in, but I was completely overlooked. Instead, at 9:45 AM — around the time I should have been seen — the technician went on break. At 10:00 AM, another patient arrived and was taken before me, even though I had been waiting since 8:20. I finally left at 10:30 AM after more than two hours with no service at all. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Patients’ time should be respected. If you accept walk-ins and provide a wait-time estimate, you should honor it. The staffing situation clearly needs to be reviewed. Having only one employee handling everything is not acceptable and results in poor patient care. Very disappointing experience.
