As a PharmD candidate myself, I understand that 'shorts' happen in a retail environment, but this is a recurrent issue at this location, which suggests a systemic failure in their final verification protocols. Most concerning was the lack of accountability. When I called to reconcile the inventory discrepancy, the staff offered no apology. Despite this being a pharmacy-admitted error, they refused to waive the $7.99 delivery fee to get me the medication I had already paid for. Charging a patient a fee to correct a pharmacy mistake is an unacceptable standard of care and an unethical business practice. I have escalated this to Corporate Compliance and am seeking a formal audit of their perpetual inventory before I contact the California Board of Pharmacy.
