During a time when I was experiencing difficulties and delays with others, Tony went above and beyond to ensure that I received my equipment in a timely manner. He personally made sure it was delivered to me promptly. The chair selected for me is absolutely perfect. It is helping to relieve my pain and improve my posture. I am especially grateful for the height-adjustable feature, something that has made a meaningful and positive difference, It’s difficult, but I am finally learning to stand again. From day one, When Tony assessed me, he assured me that he would help me obtain the equipment I needed, and he fulfilled that promise. I truly believe he deserves the highest recognition for his dedication, professionalism, and compassion. (Give him a BONUS) I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to all of the staff members who assisted me along the way, including those who helped with delivering my shower chair and bed. I mentioned that I was interested in getting a scooter, and he took the time to talk with me, answer my questions, and explain my options. He was extremely informative, patient, and genuinely helpful. National Seating & Mobility did their due diligence from start to finish to make sure I got the right scooter for my needs. In the end, I received a Pride Mobility Victory 10 in Viper Blue, a 4-wheeled scooter with a large captain’s seat and upgraded batteries, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The whole process was smooth and professional, and I really appreciated the care and attention they put into helping me. I highly recommend National Seating & Mobility Fresno if you’re looking for knowledgeable staff and great service.
- RRRabsOct 21, 20251.0I bought an electric wheelchair 5 months ago. It broke. I called a few weeks ago for the repair and to see if they have a loaner while I wait. Nope. I have now been told that I must pay for the repair even though it's under warranty. So I finally called a day ago and was told Christine would call me back in 24 hours. I called again and was told that she would call in another 24 hours because each time you call they restart the clock. So now I am told she will call in 48 hours, not 24. This company has given me the run around since I purchased my chair. You are basically punishes by the employees if you call them! Don't purchase from this company if you have a choice!

How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
