I saw a promo here for a free 25 minute session and thought why the hell not, I'll give it a try. It's pretty pricey for a stretch, but I really enjoyed working with my assigned flexologist Sam, so I signed up and even renewed my account for another month. He's currently in PT school, so he was very excited to share and incorporate his learnings in all of my sessions. He's very welcoming, takes time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions, and even demonstrated what exercises and stretches I should continue at home to both relieve my pain and strengthen the weak muscle groups that was contributing to my pain. I know he'll make a great physical therapist in a couple of years.
Sadly I couldn't make a day work for my last 2 sessions for the month, so I went with whoever was available. I had my second to last session on 2/26, and well, I'm no longer a member at Stretch Labs Cypress anymore because that experience was so bad. I won't blurt the name here since people have off-days, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt - but if management is curious, you can look up my account and refer to the flexologist who worked with me on Feb. 26 at 5 PM. So I scheduled 50 minute appointment with this dude. The first 8 minutes was him basically prodding my neck and shoulders (since I had pain there) and gazing at the clock. It really, truly, honestly seemed like he was going to spend a majority of that session "poking" my shoulder, so I asked him if we could focus on stretches instead. He paused, said "oh sorry", and then did some stretches on my shoulders for about 5 minutes, THEN - unprompted, he asked me if I wanted to cut my session short to 25 minutes instead of the full 50 minutes. Honestly, I didn't mind since I didn't find the session with him beneficial, but it was incredibly rude and demonstrated a lack of professionalism and planning on his part. I agreed to the 25 min session, and we finished off with a couple of more neck/shoulder stretches. At the end of the session, he told the front desk that I wanted to cancel my 50 minute session and retreated away to his laptop.
The experience was disappointing and ultimately led me to cancel my membership. Management confirmed my cancellation by text but never sent the promised confirmation email. I better not see any further charges on my credit card.
Overall, your experience here will depend heavily on your flexologist, so I'll give Sam his shoutout and flowers! Also, funny story but during my session with not-Sam, I was watching the flexologist work on a client one bench next to mine. Her name was Azuree and she was incorporating all kinds of stretches. Another option to choose from, if you're so inclined to book a session here!
