I got a pair of glasses at the Westfield Mall LensCrafters store in June 2024. After about a year, the anti-glare coatings on the lenses started to peel off. I took it back to the store where I was asked if I’d left the glasses in a hot car. The answer was no. She then asked how I clean the glasses. I said with soap and water (which is one of the suggested methods on the LensCrafters’ website). The sales person told me the reason the coating is coming off is because of improper cleaning. I have worn glasses for 56 years and never experienced defective glasses like the pair from LensCrafters. While any material can fail, what I found profoundly disappointing is the indifference of the sales person. The best suggestion she could offer was that they would make me a new pair at full cost. While the store is nice and clean, and has a wide selection of frames, their service is pitiful. Next time I’m skipping LensCrafters after having been their customer for nearly 35 years. UPDATE: The business owner responded to this review with a link to complete an online form. It took me ten minutes to fill out the form. As it turns out, it was an entire waste of time. There has been no response to the information I provided.

Kevin did awesome. He helped me with my glasses right away. He stopped what he was doing. He went to the back and fixed my glasses for me. He didn’t charge me. I would definitely come back and bring my whole family.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
