    On Nov 26, 2025, I ordered prescription lens from this Chula Vista office. On Dec 18, I got a text and an email that my order was ready for pick up, so I went there to pick pick but was told that they cannot find it their office. The girl told me to come back the next day and told me for sure , it will be available. I came the next day, none. Why would they text and email me if the order wasn’t there. I went back the 3rd time to complain and possibly cancel and get a refund. But Ethan convinced me he’ll just re-order with upgrade and no additional fees. So we did re-ordered . Today, Dec31, I received a text and email that my order is ready for pick up. So I called and the girl I talked to said she can’t find it . Again. I was frustrated and mad. Something is wrong with this office. I asked her to call me back once they find it. If I don’t get a call in the next 2 days, I will cancel my order. It has been 5 weeks now since I ordered. That is just unacceptable. I need my glasses .

    Came in they were busy and still helped me right away. Great customer service from worker, Ethan , they were very helpful as soon as I walked in . They have great promotions on glasses a lot of buy one get one free. Thank you Ethan for your prompt help .

    I am very dissatisfied with the information and pricing I was given. On my first visit, I was quoted around $160 to replace the lenses in my existing frames. I explained that I would return the following week to proceed because I did not have my glasses with me at the time. This price was given knowing that I already have my own frames, I only needed the lenses changed, and that my prescription is very low grade, especially after my recent eye surgery. When I returned, I was then told the price would be $280, nearly double the original quote, with no clear or reasonable explanation for the increase. Nothing about my request had changed, and I was bringing the same frame as discussed during my first visit. This inconsistency in pricing is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I made my decision based on the original quote, and it feels misleading to be charged significantly more after being told a different price initially. I would appreciate this being reviewed and corrected, as this experience has left me very disappointed.

    UPDATED REVIEW: 12/11/2025: I received a call from their manager a few days after I posted the first review (see original review below) to resolve the eyeglasses issue, letting me know that the lab was still working on my eyeglasses and they are located in Texas. I understand that location part and having no control over the lab's schedule, so I think that upper management or CEO should be aware of their laboratory's mistakes and how long they would take to fix it. I know it is not the staff's fault here, so I am updating this review for them as I like getting my glasses at Stanton (my first experience with them was in Hanford, CA). My eyeglasses arrived yesterday 12/10/2025, so it is still a long time since I ordered it on 11/6/2025. I received a call yesterday from one of their staff to let me know that my order is ready, and I asked for a discount because it took awhile. The staff said the manager is the only person who can give the discount, so I went in today to pick up my eyeglasses and waited for their manager. The staff are still very nice and accommodating when we know not all places are like that, especially most places do not understand customers frustrations and reactions to staff's mistakes. We know that most places would just give you an attitude and dismissed your concerns/issues. I believe the manager's name is Gerard who I saw today, apologized, and was going to give me half of the amount that I paid back. Because they are accommodating with no behavioral concerns, I asked for the amount of their military or veteran discount instead (since I did not get the discount when I ordered). Gerard gave me 15% (their military or veteran discount) and processed the discount to be returned to my account. How they do their job and their customer service skills really matter to me regardless where I go and this is why I gave them 1 star at first, now 4 stars with an updated review, and told them they did not have to give me half off because I understand business. Thank you for changing my mind about wanting to go back to Stanton again. The definition of a good business is having employees like them who deserve to have this job, especially in healthcare. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 12/3/2025 I brought my prescription and my own eyeglasses frame here a month ago. I had my prescription done at another optometry where they accept my insurance, since Stanton doesn't take my insurance. This store called me 2 weeks ago only to tell me that they received my glasses but the lens don't fit in the frame. The staff told me she has to send it back and I have to wait another 2 weeks. I told her I will be going on vacation in December so I need the glasses as soon as possible, and she said she will expedite my glasses. I just called them and the customer service said I will be getting my glasses on December 12 😳 I told him that's already more than a month when it was not even my fault they got the lens size wrong and had to send it back 🤦‍♀️ He said there's nothing he could do. Im not coming back here EVER again. This place does not do their job well.
