Louis Pham was very to the point , quick to explain everything he intended to do to get a diagnosis of my rash as well as his first impression as to what he thought it was on my hand. He performed 2 punch biopsies and was excellent with his bedside manner, compassion and biopsy skills. I had a great experience even though it's never fun having a biopsy.

I was referred by Kaiser to see Jessica St. Jules for treatment of a cyst/pimple on my face. During my initial visit in December, the appointment was acceptable, she examined the area and prescribed a face wash, oral antibiotics, and a topical antibiotic solution. While she wasn’t particularly warm or personable, she completed the basic requirements of the visit. At my one-month follow-up, the cyst was still present, and she recommended that I see an oral surgeon or plastic surgeon for removal. Again, her demeanor was distant and not very engaging. She remained physically and emotionally removed throughout the appointment, often standing near the door rather than interacting directly, which made the experience feel impersonal. Interestingly, about a month later, the cyst resolved on its own while I was waiting to hear back from the referred specialists. However, another month passed and a new growth appeared in the same area. Concerned that this might be something different or a recurrence, I contacted Pacific Dermatology and was scheduled for the next day (2/27/26). Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different and very negative experience. Jessica was dismissive, rude, and lacked basic bedside manner. Her first response was essentially, “Why are you back? I already told you to see a plastic surgeon or oral surgeon.” When I tried to explain that this seemed different and that I was genuinely concerned, she did not listen or acknowledge my concerns. Instead, she made me feel like I was wasting her time simply by being there and asking questions. As a patient, especially one dealing with a recurring issue on my face, I expected a minimum level of care, attentiveness, and professionalism. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and worse than when I arrived. Healthcare providers should make patients feel heard, respected, and cared for. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Based on my interactions, I strongly feel that Jessica would benefit from additional training in patient communication and bedside manner, as her approach comes across as cold and unprofessional. I have since sought care from another dermatologist who listens and treats patients with compassion, and the difference has been significant. I would HIGHLY not recommend this provider or location based on my experience. I would give it zero stars if I could! Stay far away!
