Both times I have seen him for adjustments on my chair, I have left feeling like a new person in my wheelchair. He noticed several things that needed adjustments which really helped me feel more comfortable and confident in my chair. Keith is a pro and knows what he’s doing! He is also so caring and truly wants to help people like me who want to live a better life. He made me feel so comfortable and cared for that I left my appointment with a smile on my face. Thank you Keith for helping me feel better in my wheelchair and caring so much about how i feel in it. Also, thank you for your humor during appointments…it makes it so much more enjoyable!
- HHHariMay 14, 20241.0My family member's equipment is still pending after several months of conversations. Even manager is not responding to emails despite sending many follow-ups. I wrote main branch at email address provided in other reviews for further escalation and even they do not respond. I have asked CCS about this and asked if I want to work with other company. Eventually I stopped working with these folks and request higher level management to investigate this matter. Hope they would value customers going forward.

If their customer service is anything like the young lady on the phone I know I will continue to use them for any mobility issue. She was so professional and sweet. She listened to my issue and even though she didn't know much on the item I was asking about she made sure to go find all the info she could. She was also very quick to resolve the issue for me. I hope not to need anymore assistance anytime soon but if I do I will def come back here.

How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
