Ucla is responsible for the worst medical injury I've ever had. Their neurologist pushed me through a "nerve conduction test" which involved 15 electrical shocks to my foot and leg which were so violent and painful it caused me to go home, have heart failure and sudden vericose veins which I've never had in my entire life. It's turned into ongoing heart problems and emergency and cardiac visits.
While this procedure may be okay for some I've had a history of heart problems caused by gun violence, PTSD, and immune system collapse and while I had a long history of medical problems, now confirmed HEDS, this office or doc never conferred with all of the other doctors to prevent this injury. This was avoidable.
I'm now suffering through chronic venous insufficiency which I've had to have 2 vein surgeries for, waiting for more, having POTS or postural orthostatic tachycardia, chronic exhaustion, and fatigue. These are chronic life-threatening injuries created by Ravin Jain, who *seemed like he had the best intentions in mind but UCLA's goal is to push you through their factory machine shop of procedures as fast as possible without any care. I've seen a dozen of those specialists and have left UCLA because of the constant incompetence and abuse.
What's worse is that Carmen at their complaints department sent me a letter and called me to tell me that what the doctor did was right or correct! 🤪🤯🤯 So she's probably an attorney for the human resources department.
Their medical assistant staff and chaperones are a nightmare of crazy juveniles and old ladies that think your pain is their tella novella.
One of them actually asked me if I was scared to get the procedure done. I had to tell her to shut up and leave the room immediately, that my pain was not her entertainment. And to get out.
So she knew how damaging the procedure was, and didn't stop it.
If you have to have any medical procedure consult with many doctors well outside of UCLA and do your own research.
