Walked in to the Burbank location (on Olive Ave.) to see if they could replace a screw and adjust the fit of a pair of glasses from over 20 years ago that I found in my drawer. Michael did it without hesitation and with a smile! Appreciate that so much.

Came here because they had same-day walk-in appointments but honestly don't do it. Just wait for a real doctor's office to take you, like others have said this place just feels like a used car dealership trying to upsell you stuff that isn't medically necessary. Don't recommend. Male doctor Andrew Choi, was rude and teetering on unprofessional. He tried to lecture me because I wouldn't get retinal imaging something that isn't covered by my insurance. If he was that serious, why didn’t he offer the liquid dilation that is covered by insurance. Regardless it is not needed I don’t meet any of the requirements for it to be needed every eye exam. Never had that happen before, I have been wearing glasses for 20 years. He was just trying to scam. He ended that conversation by saying “next time you should plan for it”. Is he trained to try to pressure people into paying for unnecessary medical screenings out-of-pocket. The girl who took the first vitals told me it wasn't needed for a prescription too. Was there for an eye exam prescription update. I put that down to make the appointment but he still asked me what I was here for and I said "just a new prescription". Yet he kept pressuring and asking "why?". I was forced to say "sometimes i get a little headache because I'm squinting" which was true, but again my prescription was old so that's just common sense. I'm squinting and straining my eyes so of course I'd get a little headache you would think an eye doctor would know that. Once he was done with my prescription he said "oh maybe it's just stress from work that's why you're getting headaches." I wasn't there to complain about headaches originally. I never brought it up again once he was done pestering, he literally just kept asking why I wanted to see an eye doctor, he was not satisfied with the answer of updating an old prescription. Then he tried to tell me I’m overly stressed at work. I didn’t know he was a psychologist as well. It's like he was just looking for a reason to complain. It felt insane. Or simple medical misogyny. I get people have bad days, but he was just so miserable, it's not like he's doing this for free. Just ignored him. Got what I needed and left, but I would never return. Thank goodness I was the one to make the appointment and we didn't book for me and my husband. Took my husband to a real doctors office and none of these problems came up. Sucks I wasted my eye exam here. The sales associate staff was ok. Do not recommend, go to a real doctors office or go to a different LensCrafters.

Armine and Michael were exceptionally professional and courteous. Although LensCrafters is not a participating service provider with my insurance provider, I still would not go anywhere else. They offered promotional discounts and store specials to almost completely make up for my insurance coverage. The prompt and high quality service more than justifies a small price difference. When Amine realized that I broke my glasses and needed replacement asap, she walked my prescription to the inhouse lab and had my new pair ready in ONE hour. Thank you Armine!!

I had a great experience at this LensCrafters location! The office is very clean and well-organized. They have a huge selection of frames, which gave me plenty of choices to find the perfect pair. The doctor was excellent and very professional. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and I was glad to find that they accept many insurance plans, making the process much easier. Just a tip for others: you definitely need an appointment. While the check-in is smooth, the full process—including the eye tests and the doctor’s visit—takes about one hour and half , so make sure to clear enough time in your schedule. Overall, a very nice place for eye care!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
