My visit yesterday was very disappointing. The overall experience felt unwelcoming, and the behavior I encountered came across as unprofessional. I was particularly hurt by the interaction with the staff member I usually see, as it seemed like my appointment was not valued and I was given a lunchtime excuse instead. Unfortunately, the lack of kindness and consideration has left me feeling sad 😔 , and I do not plan to return.

I’m giving five stars solely because of Leila ❤️—she is exceptionally compassionate, diligent, and genuinely invested in patient care. Her presence made a meaningful difference in my experience.
That said, there are clear operational opportunities for Quest Diagnostics to improve both patient flow and staff conditions. Walk-in wait times are consistently long, which appears to be largely driven by limited space and capacity constraints. Expanding the facility could significantly alleviate congestion, streamline workflow, and ultimately increase both patient satisfaction and revenue.
Additionally, the phlebotomists are frequently interrupted and pulled in multiple directions by the waiting room demand. This creates a high-pressure environment that impacts their ability to deliver attentive, high-quality care. A larger, better-structured space—paired with increased staffing—would not only support these professionals but also enhance the overall patient experience.
Investing in these improvements would likely result in more efficient operations, better care delivery, and stronger public reviews.

I want to highlight an experience I had Tuesday, March 31, 2026 with phlebotomist Leila at the 8501 Wilshire Blvd Suite #305, Beverly Hills office. I am 71 and have become increasingly scared of blood draws and needles. I have NEVER had a blood draw as painless as the one with Leila. She is an artist and could easily become a concierge phlebotomist. As well, she was courteous, very clear in her communication, one of the orders on my bloodwork RX cost around $45 and I was happy to pay. As well, she told me I couldn't draw a fasting cholesterol panel and Cardiac IQ panel on the same order, and advised me to call my Doctor's office, which wasn't open yet. Leila is beyond exceptional. Please compensate her accordingly, and if any client is terrified of needles, she is the phlebotomist for them.

We had a great experience at Quest today. We came in as a group of four — two adults and two children — and everything went very smoothly. The staff was very fast, friendly, and professional throughout the whole process. They made us feel comfortable and took care of us efficiently. We really appreciated the excellent service and would definitely recommend this location to others.
The attitude and behavior of the staff is just a symptom of the poorly operated and managed business. They don’t want to hire a triage person to check people in, give informant or, accept samples.
Okay, just need to drop off a sample give to me by this Quest location themselves. Go online. Got it. First available appointment 5+ days later. Okay.
Again, don’t need an appointment, just need to drop off sample. No option. “We take walk-ins”, Looks like a prison visitors waiting area, no windows, boarded up service windows. Check-in at kiosk. Okay. No apparent option for drop off on the kiosk. Hit the ?. “Dropping off sample” yes, that’s me. Great, I don’t have to wait for a full appointment I get a deli number 234. There is a long waiting list but my number is separate, makes sense I’m just dropping off documented sample.
About 20mins later an employee comes out, she is visibly and audibly stressed and annoyed. She’s asks “who is 234” she said I did the check-in wrong, that there is no drop off and “do you expect me to just take your sample and paperwork”, um yes, that’s what a drop off is. Then “they should have told you to make an appointment” they? The prior lab work was done HERE. Also, there aren’t any appointments to make, next morning appointment is more than a week away, just for a drop off. She then puts me at the bottom of the waiting list and walks away like I’ve done something personally offensive.
I get it, you’re a nurse or health professional something and you don’t want to deal with this stuff, but Quest has put you in this position. Expand the lab, open more appointments, if you don’t want to have a receptionist you need a decent and effective system. I shouldn’t have to drive 45mins to another location for an appointment two days from now just for this.
I’ve been here for a hour and not one of the 8 people on the waiting list in front of me have been helped. At least a person could tell me I have no chance. They don’t want to pay for someone to do a job they desperately need done, but they are happy to waste hours of my time for free.
