Children’s eye care
Children’s eye tests are different from adult eye tests. However at Specsavers, your child’s eye care is just as important to us. Book your child’s eye test at Specsavers.
Contact Lens assessments
During your contact lens assessment your Optometrist will assess your suitability to use contact lenses and discuss the best product for you. We will help teach you how to use contact lenses and we recommend you allow about an hour in total when you visit. An up to date eye exam is required, if you haven't had an eye exam recently please book an eye test on the same day. If you already wear contact lenses, please wear your lenses and bring your current glasses to the appointment. A parent or guardian must accompany children aged 15 or under.
3D scanning technology (OCT)
At Specsavers we include an advanced 3D eye scan as part of every standard comprehensive eye exam, at no extra charge. This helps our optometrists detect eye conditions earlier and makes our eye exam the most revealing eye exam yet.

The receptionist was super nice and friendly when walked in for booking appointment. Eseblle and other staff were quite knowledgeable and careful on the exam day. Optometrist Mr. Salmon was very easy to communicate and sounds expert with eyes, he went beyond and recommended the tests to do thats fully covered by MSP. I definitely recommending the Kitsilano Specsavers to my friends. Wonderful experience, definitely visiting again.

A dismissive staff has left my experience at this location as the worst encounter I have had with eye exams. I always have been dealing with specsavers Fairview for years and switching to this kits location was a bad decision. I would not recommend booking an eye exam here. If the eye examiner is reading this, be a bit more empathetic and resourceful. Talk to the customer, don’t treat them with a closed mind. I had a frame that I wanted to get checked, and needed to purchase new ones but none of that materialized due to the eye examiner’s prejudice on my situation, (10 minutes late to an eye exam).

Had a blast getting an eye exam and trying on frames at this Specsavers today, which is an odd thing to say but it's true! Ysabel was very fun to talk to while being smart and super helpful with finding frames I'd actually like wearing. It took us a while because I'd never had prescription glasses before (I don't really need them, but $49 in total for a pair of nice shades and blue light filtering glasses is a no-brainer for someone who likes to photosynthesize in the mountains when not maintaining unbroken eye contact with screens all day), but we found them and I'm genuinely so excited to get them!!
My eye exam was done by Dr. Drew and he was one of those quintessential doctors with great bedside manners who explain what's good to have explained, in addition to being smart at diagnosis and at communicating the thought process and uncertainties. Also, ngl, the tech is pretty cool.
