  I am writing this review to raise serious concerns about Fitness World's corporate conduct and how they treat members who voice legitimate complaints. I see this location holds a 4.9-star rating, which is frankly difficult to reconcile with my experience of how this company operates. When I raised a legitimate concern about staff misconduct at another branch, I was met not with a fair investigation, but with retaliation. I was falsely accused of making threats—based solely on a statement that continued misconduct would have consequences. That was not a threat; it was a clear and reasonable indication that I would take appropriate action if the behavior persisted. Despite the absence of any actual threatening language or behavior, my membership was canceled, and I was threatened with police involvement if I visited any other location. This response was disproportionate, unjustified, and deeply concerning. What troubles me most is the pattern: instead of addressing the underlying staff conduct, the company chose to target the complainant. This suggests that members who speak up about mistreatment may face punishment rather than resolution. I have filed formal complaints and have yet to receive a meaningful response. There appears to be no real accountability mechanism in place. A near-perfect rating may give the impression of a well-run organization, but my experience suggests otherwise when it comes to how members are treated after raising legitimate concerns. Members deserve to feel safe and heard—not retaliated against. I am now pursuing this matter through appropriate legal channels. Others should be aware and document their experiences accordingly.

  They are so welcoming and kind! Everyone encourages me to be healthy and fit. The classes are extremely interactive. They have knowledgable staff. The manager was very accommodating when I was away at school, which really was great cause I didn’t have to worry about losing my membership or anything. This gym is not a gym you just go and work out-. It’s a community. It’s a family. It’s where I feel the happiest. I cannot wait to go to the gym every day because the people are so good.

  I have had such a positive experience at Fitness World. The facility is clean, welcoming, and I genuinely feel motivated to come every day. I especially want to mention how great it's been working with my personal trainer, Kat. She is incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, and knows exactly how to push me while making every session feel challenging but achievable. Anytime I've asked a question about a movement or exercise, she takes the time to break it down, explain the science behind it, and make sure I fully understand. On top of that, she has amazing energy and makes every session enjoyable. I also want to give a special shout-out to the wonderful staff in the child minding area. They are so kind, caring, and welcoming. I feel completely comfortable leaving my toddler in their care, and she genuinely looks forward to going there every time we visit. As a mum, that gives me so much peace of mind and makes coming to the gym even more enjoyable. I highly recommend both Fitness World and Kat to anyone looking for a supportive and motivating place to train.

  Storytime: I started going to this gym after a huge relationship change in my life. This gym wasn't only for my physical it was for my mental as well. This location specifically made me feel so welcomed. The manager Ignaz was very sweet, down to their front door staff Walberto to include some. I had a personal trainer Rupi and she was amazing! Paras quickly reminded me there was a lot i didn't know and Mayank became my therapist. I had great workouts there and recovery times in their massage and infrared red rooms. My favorite part was that I used the studio often and it made me confident in my stretching and rope game. Ive had break downs and my glow up here! All in all this gym is amazing, highly recommend not just for the membership but as well as the vibes and connections 💕

  What I love most about Fitness World Platinum South Surrey BC, is that it offers much more than just a gym membership. It combines fitness, recovery, community, and convenience all in one place. The facilities are modern, clean, and well-maintained, with a great variety of strength training equipment, cardio machines, functional training areas, and group fitness classes. One of my favorite features is the recovery amenities. After a tough workout, I can take advantage of Hydromassage, massage chairs, and Normatec compression boots, which help support recovery and reduce muscle soreness. As someone who works in health, recovery, and performance, I appreciate having these tools available in a gym setting. I also love the variety of classes and training options. Whether you’re into strength training, yoga, cycling, Pilates, or high-energy group workouts, there’s something for every fitness level. The small group training sessions add extra accountability and motivation. The atmosphere is welcoming, positive, and motivating. I see people of all ages and fitness levels working toward their goals, which creates an encouraging environment. The staff and trainers are friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. As a Registered Kinesiologist and wellness professional, I especially appreciate that Fitness World supports a complete wellness lifestyle—not just exercise, but recovery, mobility, and long-term health.
