  I’ve been a member of this gym for several months, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The facility is always clean, the equipment is modern and well maintained. A special thank you to my trainer Jaqueline, who has been incredibly knowledgeable, motivational and supportive. Workouts are tailored to my goals, with the right balance of challenge and encouragement. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve become stronger, fitter and much more confident in the gym scene. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a friendly, professional place to train with a trainer who genuinely cares about your progress

  I am writing this review to raise serious concerns about Fitness World's corporate conduct and how they treat members who voice legitimate complaints. While this location may have a 4.7-star rating, I find that difficult to reconcile with my own experience with the company's broader practices. When I raised a legitimate concern about staff misconduct at another branch, I was met not with a fair investigation, but with retaliation. I was falsely accused of making threats—based solely on a statement that continued misconduct would have consequences. That was not a threat; it was a clear and reasonable indication that I would take appropriate action if the behavior persisted. Despite the absence of any actual threatening language or behavior, my membership was canceled, and I was threatened with police involvement if I visited any other location. This response was disproportionate, unjustified, and deeply concerning. What troubles me most is the pattern: instead of addressing the underlying staff conduct, the company chose to target the complainant. This suggests that members who speak up about mistreatment may face punishment rather than resolution. I have filed formal complaints and have yet to receive a meaningful response. There appears to be no real accountability mechanism in place. I hope this review serves as a caution to other members. A high star rating does not always reflect how a company treats its customers when things go wrong. Members deserve to feel safe and heard—not retaliated against. I am now pursuing this matter through appropriate legal channels. Others should be aware and document their experiences accordingly.

  I started going to the gym after my pregnancy and decided to try the complimentary personal training session at Fitness World. That’s when I met Sanjeev and I’m so glad I did! He’s supportive, motivating and always encourages me to do my best. In just three months, I feel stronger, healthier, more energetic and I’ve even lost weight. His workout and diet plans have made a real difference. A big thank you to Sanjeev and the entire Fitness World team for creating such a friendly and welcoming environment. Highly recommend!

  The hygiene and cleanliness in the gym is horrendous. The washrooms seem to always need attention, the cleaning towels are consistently empty in the containers so you can’t wipe down the equipment. On any given day 3 to 4 pieces of equipment are broken and out of commission for long periods. Classes are not updated. Sign in for class expecting to work with Certain instructors and there’s a change it’s not posted. It’s not always about the class sometimes it’s about the instructor teaching the class which makes it enjoyable and not all or equally qualified. I’ve been a member here for sometime. The staff is friendly. It’s a great location. I would just like a little bit more attention to what we pay our monthly fees for..

  I’ve been coming to Fitness World Semiahmoo for over a year now, and I honestly love it here. The environment is welcoming, and it’s a place I actually enjoy showing up to. The staff and trainers are always kind, supportive, and willing to help, which has made a huge difference in my fitness journey. I’ve lost close to 25 lbs, and I truly believe the positive community here has played a big part in keeping me motivated and consistent. I was lucky enough to get some free training sessions with Daniel, and he was fantastic. The advice and techniques he taught me are still things I use today, and they’ve gone a long way in helping me reach my goals. If you’re looking for a gym with great people, a supportive atmosphere, and trainers who genuinely care, I’d highly recommend Fitness World Semiahmoo. It’s been a great experience from day one.
