We thoroughly examine your eyes to make sure they are healthy and we'll also be able to detect diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration. That’s why it’s so important to have your eyes examined regularly.

Contact Lens assessments
During your contact lens assessment your Optometrist will assess your suitability to use contact lenses and discuss the best product for you. We will help teach you how to use contact lenses and we recommend you allow about an hour in total when you visit. An up to date eye exam is required, if you haven't had an eye exam recently please book an eye test on the same day. If you already wear contact lenses, please wear your lenses and bring your current glasses to the appointment. A parent or guardian must accompany children aged 15 or under.

I went to get a new pair of glasses at Specsavers in Sidney, BC. David Tomlinson helped me. He was very professional in assisting me. When I finally got my glasses, I took them to David & he asked me if I had an extended medical plan. I had an extended medical from my work (now retired) & he put the glasses through my work extended medical. He found out from my history, I had another extended medical plan, (which I had forgotten about), we put it through & this extended medical also paid for my glasses. David was very professional, persistent, patient, helpful & kind. I was very grateful he went that extra mile for me. A truly wonderful human being. Thank you David from the bottom of my heart for your excellent service ❤️

Specsavers is now my go-to for eye care needs. My kids and I recently had eye exams (very thorough and affordable!), then we ordered 4 pairs of glasses.
Their glasses selection is fantastic with an excellent variety of styles and price points. I usually have a hard time finding glasses that fit properly because I have a low nose bridge, but they had great options for me to choose from.
Their staff are super helpful in helping you find just the right glasses, then getting them fit properly. They’re also really friendly and funny - we really enjoyed every member of their team during our experience!

Great prices, great customer service before buying glasses and after when fitting my glasses. I gave a contact land line and email, saying that text would not work and to please either phone or email me when my glasses were in.
I heard nothing.
I dropped in about 3 weeks later only to find that they had sent me a text (on my land line).
When I arrived to pick up my glasses at store level I waited 20+ minutes before someone was available to serve me. There was no dedicated staff person who wasn't busy fitting new glasses on customers.
So, front end service is excellent. End of purchase and fitting service is excellent. Prices of glasses is excellent.
In between service is non-existent.

Such a lovely, welcoming team at Specsavers Sidney. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and I felt well looked after throughout my visit. I'm very much looking forward to picking up my two new pairs of glasses. Really great value and excellent service.

I bought two pairs of glasses and it felt like a great deal compared to other stores. The selection is satisfactory, but it's not a big store and I couldn't find exactly the frames I was looking for. I was after a wire frame but the men's glasses tend to have thicker, darker frames. I also wanted a clear frame, but once it came down to the lens shape there was really only one option. The store was very clean and seemed to be operating efficiently.
