The place is great. What stood out to me most was the coaching. Both the male and female trainers feel present without making it awkward, and that made this gym in Richmond BC easier to stick with than others I’ve tried. I came in mostly wanting better health and more consistent workouts, and the accountability actually helped. The space is a clean gym with modern equipment, plenty of machines, free weights, and room for strength training, but the vibe stays relaxed. It feels beginner friendly, with friendly staff and a welcoming environment, so getting through a session at this Richmond fitness center never feels like a chore.

Started here mainly because the membership felt like good value, and that part has held up. What kept me around was how easy this Richmond gym is to fit into real life. I can get in, train, and leave without waiting forever for a rack or machine. The space feels open, the equipment is modern, and the functional training area actually gets used without turning chaotic. I also liked that the coaching felt beginner friendly and steady, more accountability than pressure. After a while I noticed better strength, more energy, and workouts becoming a regular part of my week. The atmosphere just makes consistency easier 🤙🏻

My first time at this location and the staff were terrible. The tip of my finger was clipped off and my finger was gushing (I was hip thrusting 225lbs) and it was dripping down from the stairs to the front desk. They didn’t even file an incident report about the injury or take any notes or record any information. The staff kept asking if it was that serious as my left hand was holding my right hand in a pool of blood. They had a basic first aid kit on hand, and they gave it to my friend to treat my finger. ITS BASIC FIRST AID how can you not know how to do that? Grant Ren is the worst worker because he and Judy kept asking if it was that serious while seeing my blood dripping down the ground. I think they should really implement learning how to do basic first aid because they are working at a gym. I won’t ever go to this gym again if they can’t treat their clients with respect. I also have hearing aids and I can hear the workers talking “if it was that serious” and I thought that was so disrespectful because they saw the pool
of blood in my hand dripping down from my arm. NEVER AGAIN DO BETTER
Anytime Fitness for the win!!!!
Edit: I have to see a plastic surgeon now to fix my finger because it’s broken

Completely useless. The staff have zero first aid knowledge.
My friend broke her finger at the gym and they didn’t care. Today I went to this location for the first time hoping to enjoy it, but when my friend who I came with injured herself (pinched her finger under 225lbs on a hipthrust) the staff were completely useless.
I had to repeatedly ask them to Call the paramedic and they kept asking how serious it was, her finger was gushing blood, down to her elbow and dripping a trail on the floor. She probably needs stictches and she was nearly passing out. They kept dismissing my concerns about my friend, and did not take it seriously at all, my friend has a hearing aid and could hear the front desk manager Grant and a coworker saying that it’s not that serious. The staff may be friendly, but knowing first aid is more important. Always take injuries seriously.
(I’d show the photo of her stitches for proof, but it’s probably too much gore for google)

After many years of being a member of FW I have seen many employees and trainers come and go and one thing I have to say is to the trainer's, pls put your ego aside, respect the common areas where all members walk and do not block it with your private training sessions.
Putting your clients at risk by blocking the common areas and have them exercise there, while other members like myself, are carrying weights to put back on the rack but it's blocked, this can increase the chances of injury and accidents.
You have the audacity to say walk around?
No, you should be mindful as a professional trainer not to put your clients at potential risk and block common areas, you need to be reminded to be respectful for all other members who have been part of FW and the community.
This is my formal complaint to one of the trainer's in Fitness World Richmond, which I will not name, hoping management will deal with it and remind their team a thing or two about proper customer service.
If not, I am very happy to remind them if needed. Thank you !
