Solid Richmond gym. I’ve been coming a few weeks and this Gym in Richmond BC is actually pretty clean, lots of equipment, and never too crowded, which I care about more than anything. Cardio machines, free weights, functional training area, all in good shape, modern equipment, so I can just plug in my headphones and get on with consistent workouts. The personal trainer in Richmond I worked with kept things beginner friendly but still pushed me on strength training and accountability. Tbh I’ve already lost a bit of weight, feel more energy, and the supportive community and friendly staff make it a calm, positive atmosphere.
Tbh this Richmond gym turned out pretty solid for a total beginner like me. I was looking for a Gym in Richmond BC, something small, clean, and not intimidating, and this Richmond fitness center fits that. Trainer Claire has been great for accountability, explaining strength training basics and fixing my form without making it weird. Super beginner friendly, nice female personal trainer vibe, no pressure. Plenty of machines, modern equipment, functional training area and free weights, and it’s never too crowded. After a month of consistent workouts I’ve lost a bit of weight, feel more energy, and the atmosphere is quietly supportive, which works for me.

Solid Richmond gym, honestly one of the better fitness clubs in Richmond BC I’ve tried. Place feels like a modern Richmond fitness center, clean gym, plenty of machines, lots of free weights and a nice functional training area, never too crowded so I can actually focus. The brand new Booty Builder equipment is fun to use and harder than it looks lol. Trainers here are legit, both male and female personal trainers in Richmond who actually watch your form. As a beginner, I like how they’re accommodating, supportive, and keep me accountable without pressure, which makes consistent workouts feel doable.
I am posting this to hold Fitness World accountable for serious misconduct I have experienced.
At one of their locations, I was subjected to ongoing harassment by a manager. When I formally complained about this treatment, the company responded not with an investigation, but with retaliation. They falsely accused me of making threats—based solely on my statement that continued misconduct would have consequences. That was not a threat; it was a clear and reasonable warning that I would take appropriate action if the behavior did not stop.
Despite the absence of any actual threatening language or behavior, Fitness World canceled my membership and further threatened to involve law enforcement if I visited any other location. This response is disproportionate, unjustified, and raises serious concerns about how this company handles customer complaints.
What is most concerning is that instead of addressing the underlying issue—the manager's conduct—Fitness World chose to target me as the complainant. This pattern of retaliation sends a troubling message to all members: voicing legitimate concerns may result in punishment, not resolution.
I have filed formal complaints regarding these events and have yet to receive a proper response. It appears that there are no meaningful accountability measures in place to address staff misconduct or protect members from retaliation.
I am now escalating this matter through appropriate legal channels to ensure that these issues are properly examined and addressed. Members should be aware of how Fitness World treats those who speak up.

Best gym in Richmond for me so far. Space feels very clean and professional, lighting is bright, mirrors not grimy, and I actually like the music volume. Professional male and female trainers everywhere on the floor, which I appreciate a lot as a beginner; got great results with personal training over a few weeks, nothing crazy, but clothes fit better. New members can get 5 personal training sessions for just $289, tbh that deal pushed me to sign up. Free underground parking is such a relief in this area, I just roll in after work, no circling. Also nice knowing they’re part of a bigger network with 500+ weekly group fitness classes across British Columbia, so yoga or cycle is always an option when I’m in other cities.
