  The woman in the pastry section was extremely rude. She acted like she didn’t want to be there and pretended she couldn’t understand my English because I’m Asian. I’m Canadian, and I speak English fluently, so there shouldn’t have been any difficulty understanding me. The whole experience made me question whether I was being treated differently because of my race. I will never go back to this place to buy cakes.

  Watch out for buying the big bottled water, $19.99 per bottle includes $10.00 deposit for the bottle and you can exchange for another bottle but they do not give you back the $10.00 for an empty return. This is difficult for the elderly on a fixed budget. They will just buy an extra bottle because they forgot their spare at home only to find out they won't return the money for the deposit. It's very disappointing, and I'm very surprised this is legal.

  BEWARED!! THE KITCHEN HAS INCREASED ITS PRICES SINCE OPENING. AND THE PORTION HAS SOMEWHAT SHRUNK !!?? YOU ARE BETTER OFF PAYING A BIT MORE EATING AT A CAUSAL FAMILY RESTAURANT.

  Wow. If I could give zero stars I would. Long time shopper at Save-on-foods. This store looks great but functions terribly!! The aisles are too narrow for 2 people to walk down them bumping into each other. Checking out is a nightmare. I’m currently in a lineup which is all the way to the back of the building!! Self check out is worse. They should have spent less money in making the store look nice and more on making it flow and function properly. Probably been shopping at save on foods Coquitlam since 2007. I will not be back. Here is the lineup in front and behind me. This store relocated from Pinetree way to sunwood square and I’m reviewing the NEW location at Sunwood. Check out line has taken 15 mins and no where near checking out.
