  If you are planning to enrol at Club Pilates Coquitlam, I strongly recommend reading this review before signing up. My biggest concern is not the classes or the instructors — it is the lack of transparency around the membership terms, cancellation fees, and no-show charges. After attending the 30-minute demo class, I decided to join because I enjoyed the experience. During signup, I was briefed about the membership, but the cancellation and no-show policies and the financial impact of these fees were not clearly explained to me in person. A few weeks later, while reviewing my account, I noticed multiple unexpected charges, including cancellation fees and a no-show fee. When I contacted the studio, I was told that these policies were included in the agreement and that it was my responsibility to review everything before signing. While I understand that customers should read agreements carefully, I believe important financial policies that can result in multiple charges should be clearly highlighted during the signup process. A customer should not have to discover these fees only after seeing unexpected deductions from their account. My advice to anyone considering joining: Read the full agreement carefully before signing. Ask direct questions about cancellation, late cancellation, and no-show policies. Understand exactly how much you can be charged for missed or cancelled classes. Regularly check your account statements for deductions. Unfortunately, my experience with management has been disappointing. The response felt more focused on enforcing charges rather than helping a new member understand the policies and avoid unexpected fees. It left me feeling that cancellation charges were being treated as a revenue source rather than a customer service issue. That being said, I want to give credit where it is due — the trainers at Club Pilates Coquitlam are wonderful. They are professional, encouraging, and make the classes enjoyable. The trainers are the highlight of the studio and deserve recognition for their effort and dedication. I hope management improves communication and transparency so future members can make informed decisions before committing to a membership.

  Disorganized and absolute waste of time. I booked my intro session 2 weeks ago and the receptionist called today to confirm my class which I verbally did. What she failed to do was confirm my class in the system. When I showed up I was informed that my class wasn’t confirmed by the receptionist and therefore lost my spot. I wasted my time, gas and energy to show up to support a local business with every intention to purchase a membership. When the lady offered to rebook me for a different day, I stated that there is no need as I will be committing to Lagree West down the street where I have never had an issue with. To which she responds with “ya well things happen”. Interesting approach to customer service and client retention.

  Canceled my membership due to 2 unprofessional instructors. In one class, the chair prop was cued incorrectly leading to 1 woman falling off (dangerous), and in another class, when a pose was hurting my ankle and I notified the instructor, her response was "okay and???" Sadly there are definitely great instructors here like Tamara, Diane, and Naz, but the unprofessional ones really put me off. Pilates is an expensive commitment and the subpar instructors should be held up to higher standards. Edit: I canceled my membership and got an email saying a previous month was my last billing date, but just saw a new charge this month. Please double check your charges everyone.
