- FBFaith BurkeNov 5, 20251.0Do not use this place. They will sell you the item and then refuse to answer emails or calls when you need something fixed. My mom is permanently in a wheelchair and the chair has multiple issues. She has called and emailed the manager Brian multiple times to just be ignored. I have also called and came in the store. Recently the chair had an issue while we were driving on the sidewalk and it surged making her drive off the side walk and tip over on the street. She was hurt a lot and the fire department and EMS had to come out and life her. I have filed a complaint with corporate and no one has called me back. The chair is paid for and over multiple months this has gone on. Do not go here our disabled loved ones deserve better than to be ignored and tossed to the side.

While everyone’s experience may differ, I have to say that Brian was exceptional in every way. - UGUS Chaplain Dr Arthur GrayIIIJun 9, 20115.0on many occasions I'll use national seating and mobility service I can admit that they are a bit slow but they're very proficien and they are meticulous about the details of your chair just a susan I had a problem with the time line for receiving my chair however I come to find out the efforts extreme in which they have to go to have this chair approved and to be honest its up to the you to stay on your insurance company to make sure the approval is done in a timely manner this is my third chair and this is the best ones I've had yet not to mention the custom details that when is the ordering of the chair I have had it just you over A year now and it has requires no maintenance are servicing of any type whatsoever until today and that was only for my seat cushion which is made by Roho and it is a quadro which is the best. the service in which I receive goes far beyond the pay scale in which national seating and mobility receives. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
