The waiting area is extremely sterile. I would suggest a few pictures on the wall like many waiting areas use.

The phlebotomist was friendly and professional. I get my blood drawn fairly often and she was great. Also, the new text check in is awesome. I was in a couple of minutes before my appointment and out 5 minutes later. Excellent!

The fact that there is no one to talk to out front to get information from is one reason why I will never come back. The phlebotomist was very robotic and had the tourniquet was tied so tight that I was in a lot of pain. I did not feel that he listened at all.

Round 2 - I left the Roseville Quest to come to a scheduled appointment at this Auburn location. At least this location was cleaner than Roseville. But still has the same cold feeling with no reception to greet you as you walk in and the dreaded kiosk again. The kiosk is one of the worst inventions for a medical facility. Once again I watched elderly people very confused as to what to do with the kiosk and watch a couple of elderly women leave. Even though I had an appointment scheduled it still took 25 minutes before I was called. So obviously the kiosk does not make things faster it just limits a payroll check for Quest. Once in the back it seemed a little tense as if the employees were rushed, not a great feeling especially when no on e greets you out front. I usually go to Sutter labs but for this test the doctor said I needed to go to Quest. I have small veins and my veins spasm due to MS. Sutter usually uses a smaller needle on me. The needle was large and was slightly painful. I highly suggest that Quest review their front office and back office to make things more comfortable and not so cold standoffish. It is not a friendly environment and patients especially the elderly were confused and frustrated. I know we are in a time of AI and digital, but please understand that those over age 70 may not understand how to use digital electronics. Have some compassion and the office will appear and feel more inviting.
