Connect Hearing as a clinic offers a great service; however, the staff at the Ft Saskatchewan office is hit and miss. One day you get pretty good service; and, the next day you don't. My parents are older. Dad started using aids about 3 years ago; and, in the beginning we were so happy for him to hear and for the help we got. Since then, the consistency of his hearing has not been as good. We thought maybe his ears??? He has gone into the Ft Sask clinic a few times and the service has been really hit and miss. Most recently I went with him to get help with the aids because they would not turn on automatically from the charger; and, they would not pair with his brand new 'partner mic' ($150) that he bought the week before because the old one quit working so they sold a new one to him. When we arrived at the clinic there was no one other the receptionist in the front entrance. He explained the problem; and, she asked "So what do you want me to do"? I thought she didn't understand him...so I went through the scenario again. She looks at me and says: "Well I can't help him, he needs to make an appointment ". WOW! Okay....you're busy MRS FRONT LINE RECEPTIONIST... (I don't say anything rude or bad ....but I'm not impressed) ....so I ask when can we get an appointment....she looks....11 days from now! We book it. We leave. I do my best to google a resolution on our own; but don't want to screw the things up so am no help to him. I suggest we go to another office....just in case....well we drive to 104st (had business on the south side anyway); and, randomly stop @ a clinic on 63rd and 104th ..... TOTALLY DIFFERENT SERVICE!! The "customer service rep" at the front desk EMPATHIZES with his issue; and, says .... our DR is busy but let me see if I can help.....She works on the hearing aids for 5 or 6 minutes when DR DAWN come out of the office and solves ALL the issues within minutes. ADDITIONALLY we find out #1) that the old partner-mic was still under WARRANTY for another 4 months!! He didn't need to buy a new one; and, #2) notes were on the file saying the hearing aid volume buttons were 'sticky' and may need warranty work; but no one told him! Or maybe they tried when he couldn't hear and didn't bother with any other communication avenue. GRRRRR I would have given a one star rating ...but DAD didn't want to go that low ....and they have had 'good customer service days' in the past .....he says; and, likely true when you read some of the other reviews HOWEVER, if a staff member can't CONSISTENTLY provide empathy and useful help to OLDER people who struggle with their aids and the technology they should find different employment!

I came to Connect Hearing in fort sask to get my hearing checked. As i first booked my appointment, Emily helped me to do so and she was incredible. As I first walked in the door , I was greeted with a smile from the receptionist. I felt welcome. The environment was very clean. I got my ears checked by Karen . She was very kind, caring, and professional. I was booked again to check the validity of the first results. On my second visit , I was greeted once again with a smile. Karen went above and beyond today. She was very kind, caring, compassionate and empathetic. I am so grateful. Thank you.
