Husband and I went in just to look at some sunglasses and as soon as we walked in Tristan meet us at the door. He guided my husband over to do an eye exam then right into helping us pick out the best frame, I even learned about glasses sizes. Ive been to three different lenscrafters over the course of 4 years and each time im greeted the grace and dedication to make clients look amazing. Tristan @ South gate Edmonton, Karla @ Millwoods Edmonton and Taniya @ KP mall Winnipeg thanks for great customer service

I took my Mom into Lenscrafters Southgate Mall Edmonton.... The staff were so amazing and patient with her, since she had had a fall and broken her glasses. A big thank you to Shawn who put her old glasses back together!

I visited this location on June 9, 2026 and was assisted by Shawn. I found him to be respectful and professional maintaining appropriate boundaries between salesperson and customer. He demonstrated a strong understanding of how to provide guidance without being pushy, allowing me the autonomy to make my own decisions. He took the time to clarify information, listened attentively, and showed great attention to detail throughout the interaction. Overall, I appreciated his balanced approach and excellent customer service. Part 11 Recently, I received an email informing me that my glasses were ready for pick up. When I visited the store this morning to have them fitted, I immediately felt nauseated, my eyes felt the pressure and realized something was wrong with the new glasses. The staff member assisting me explained that the previous employee had incorrectly entered the plus and minus signs in my prescription. To resolve the issue, I had to drive back home to the NW to retrieve a hard copy of my prescription, then return to the store and provide it to the employee so the correct lenses could be ordered. As a result of this error, the glasses were made incorrectly and now need to be remade. Unfortunately, I have to wait another 1-2 weeks to receive the correct pair. While I appreciated, the professionalism of the staff who identified the mistake and worked to correct it, I am disappointed by the error, the inconvenience of making an extra trip home and back to the store, and the additional delay in receiving my glasses. Part 3 Yesterday June 23, I received an email informing me that my prescription eye glasses were ready for pickup. I went to the store and had them fitted. Thankfully, my eyes are finally comfortable now that the correct lenses have been installed. However, when I asked about my prescription sunglasses, I was told they were not yet available. Since I had received a notification and because the previous two sets lenses were incorrect and had to be replaced, I expected that both my eyeglasses and sunglasses would be ready at the same time. This is the second time I have been very dissatisfied with how my prescription Eyewear has been handled. The errors with my lenses have already caused significant inconvenience and now I must make yet another trip to the store to pick up my sunglasses. I would appreciate an explanation for these delays and the lack of communication regarding the status of my sunglasses. I hope steps can be taken to ensure a smoother and more accurate process going forward.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
