Do not purchase from this store. We purchased a complete pair of glasses last year from Lovleen and were told if we purchased the protection plan we can come back within a year to exchange for a completely different pair of glasses. We came back within the time frame she told us and we were told from yhr staff that the protection plan does not cover a different pair of glasses and only the exact same pair with the exact same lens prescription. We would NOT have purchased from LensCrafters if we were told this previously. They will tell you what you want to hear to purchase their protection plans. Also the staff at this location are very condescending and rude. I highly recommend to purchase your glasses elsewhere.

I was debating writing this review since a few years ago I had the best experience here, however the last couple times I have been, the customer service has been not great. During my first negative experience, I told the associate what my budget was and he kept bringing me glasses that were $100 more expensive than what I was willing to spend. When I expressed to him that I was looking for something cheaper, he mentioned to me that these were the cheapest glasses they have, it took me about 2 minutes after that to find the style I explained within my budget. During my last negative experience I wanted to replace my sunglasses that were stolen so I asked the associate to place an order for me online. When the total came up, it was around $400. I went onto the LensCrafters website when I got home and looked at the same pair but I clicked options that were cheaper and it ended up being just over $200. When they are choosing your glasses to order, they pick all of the most expensive options without telling you expecting you not to notice or look into it. I don’t even need to ask if they make commission, based on my experiences it’s clear to me that they do and I will unlikely be shopping at this particular location in the near future.

I would strongly caution anyone considering LensCrafters to think carefully before making a purchase. In my experience, the level of customer service dropped dramatically the moment payment was made. When I purchased my glasses, I specifically requested that they be shipped to me and was assured that someone would contact me with the tracking number once the package was sent. That never happened. Instead, I had to call the store four separate times just to find out whether the tracking information was available. Eventually, I obtained the tracking number myself. At no point did anyone proactively contact me regarding the shipment status or provide the information they had promised. The quality of the lenses was also extremely disappointing. My prescription is relatively mild, yet the lenses are noticeably thicker and bulkier than those in my previous pairs of glasses. The difference is significant enough that it raises concerns about the quality of the lenses provided. To make matters worse, I was not given the original demo lenses that came with the frame. When I called customer service about this, I was assured that I could visit any LensCrafters location and they would provide them. However, when I visited the very same store where I purchased the frame, the staff outright refused. After an unnecessarily long discussion and dealing with what I found to be rude and dismissive behavior from the representative, the store manager finally assured me that the lenses would be mailed to me within 2–3 business days. It has now been nearly two weeks, and I have not received the lenses, nor have I received a single follow-up call, email, or update from the store. At this point, it feels as though customer concerns are simply ignored once the sale is completed. Given the repeated broken promises, lack of communication, poor service, and disappointing product quality, I cannot recommend LensCrafters based on my experience. I sincerely hope this review encourages management to improve accountability, communication, and customer support, because my experience has been frustrating from start to finish.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
