I had an amazing experience with Victoria, my personal trainer. I’ve had personal trainers in the past who drew me away from the gym - but Victoria fixed it! She was attentive, accommodating, and positive. I felt very comfortable sharing my progress with her (my weight, eating habits, etc.). Not only that, she is a true professional in her field; she has tons of knowledge about muscle, strength, endurance… Victoria if you are seeing this - thank you!!

This has got to be the worst service I’ve ever dealt with in my life. First of all I tried to book in numerous times for the red light and I was directed to the wrong fitness world location each time. Everytime I was told they didn’t have red light at all the locations even though I was told by the general manager they did. The girl working behind the counter asked me 3 times why i was at the gym! Uhh I’m there to workout? What do you think? Then she proceeds to comment that I brought so many bags. I brought purse and a gym bag. Also why the hell do you guys call me over 10 times in a week! Is that not considered harassment? The most uncomfortable experience ever. Please get new staff and stop being so damn pushy.

Worst management and customer service I have ever seen. The general manager of this gym (Cody). He is really unprofessional and rude. Not only me but other members of the gym agree to this too
During the time of signing up for membership he would be so polite and understanding but, if you need any assistance like cancelling the membership due to unforeseen circumstances. He will just ignore you. Despite of providing the proof of relocation.
I wanted to cancel my membership as i am moving to different city. And I provided the proof of utility bill. Still he kept on asking me for other proof and was not listening to me at all. But according to the fitness world website it clearly states that Utility bill is accepted as a proof for cancellation.
And when I mentioned that others fitness world gym locations are accepting that proof. He said to go there and get the membership canceled.
So that means he is making up his own rules.
Result- I did get it canceled from the Cambie location. Dylan helped me out.
I would anyday recommend you guys, the Cambie location.
@fitnessworld look into your GM (Cody) ways of conducting business. And his unprofessional behaviour.

I have been coming to this location for about a year now and enjoyed every second of it. The classes they provide are great and I get a good sweat every time! The staff there including Cody would greet me as I come in despite of how busy they can be including the atmosphere itself as the gym is literally right by the skytrain station and very transit friendly so due expect the gym to be busy. Thank you to Nico and Hosanna for the exceptional customer service!

Decent gym but terrible personal trainer…
Really disappointed in Tony H. My girlfriend purchased personal training sessions from him, and in December 2025 he pushed her way too hard, and she had a lat muscle tear.
I’ve been exercising for 15 years, so take my review with a grain of salt:
Normally, the onus is on the client as they waive their rights upon signing the terms and conditions when signing up for any gym membership. However, as the “expert”, the onus is on the Personal Trainer to properly program intelligent exercise selection to prevent overreach beyond what is healthy to joint/connective tissue.
She’s an athlete, and has a good understanding of what her physical limitations are. After far too much volume on a pull session, Tony had her execute a weighted hang with too much weight (45lbs for 140lb woman, despite her requesting to only doing bodyweight dead-hangs due to exhaustion).
She complained she couldn’t grip correctly and was already in pain. Tony ignored her. She was told to do another set. She felt a rip-like sensation in her lat which caused her to fall. He failed to take any accountability.
She’s been in pain for 3 months, has lost income at work due to preventable injury, as a result of amateur programming. After a few sessions of physio rehab, she still hasn’t recovered to this day.
At the very least, management recognized that this was a mistake on their end, and assigned her to a more experienced trainer to assist with injury recovery.
The other PTs are skilled, but steer clear of Tony.
