He was unprofessional: arriving late and wearing inappropriate clothing such that I felt uncomfortable in close quarters. Furthermore, he didn't even bother saying hi, nor introducing himself, nor apologizing for being late. He sat down and I thought he was just another assistant. I had to ask him, "Are you the doctor?" The rest of the appointment was just as disappointing: he failed to adequately medicate my eyes (I had to go see a real doctor), and he didn't even provide me with a useable eyeglass prescription. He gives optometrists a bad name. I am a disabled, low-income individual and because I can't afford to pay out of pocket, I have to wait years to see someone else for a proper exam and eyeglass prescription because of this incompetence. Unfortunately in BC, to get eye-care including eyeglass prescriptions, the public is forced to sift through medical-school rejects with low standards of care, masquerading as so-called doctors of optometry. Perhaps a reprimand is in order. File your complaints with The College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
