My family and I have been purchasing glasses from this Guildford location for years. The original assistant manager (cannot recall name) and manager (sam) were amazing. Hence why we continued coming here. Now the store has new management. Recently my husband and I bought glasses , and Avneet and Mehrnaz helped us. They both were very very lovely. I had purchased a pair, and upon pickup, they did not fit me well and I didn't like them, I exchanged on the spot. I found a new pair, picked up the new pair today. It to did not fit well, and had a headache all day. I called the store at approximately 5 pm and the person on the phone, was acting manager and name was Nancy, did not and was not helpful at all. Made excuses, and had zero customer service. We have never had such an encounter. I wanted to exchange the glasses but with the service and communication so awful I decided to return. I have never had to return glasses in the past. I went in and have returned my glasses. I will never purchase from LensCrafters again. Nor will my family. We have 4 of us wearing glasses in my family.

Terrible experience, if you buy online you will not be helped here. Purchased two pairs of glasses online and had them delivered in-store. 1. Did not receive any notifications about the glasses arriving. They had it for about a week and did not contact me, I had to drive over there and ask if they had it. And wow to much surprise they did. 2. Ordered high index frames 1.67 thickness and this was not it. Both pairs of glasses look like the glasses Velma wears from scooby doo. The sunglasses also had a bent nose pad. 3. They told me they do not have anything to do with online store. How can a business be completely separated from their online store. I’m literally buying from LENS CRAFTERS not a Temu store. I’m paying a premium for your glasses so I expect to be serviced online or in store. You should be responsible for anything that comes into your store. Have been a LensCrafters customer for about 20 years but unfortunately this is was not it. This is completely unacceptable from a well known business like this. Will be returning these glasses immediately and taking my business elsewhere in the future!

Terrible experience. The ladies staff couldn’t care less about customers, no greeting, no help, nothing. They were busy on their phones the entire time. When I asked simple questions about their products, all I got were clueless answers like “not sure” or “maybe.” It’s shocking that they don’t even know what they’re selling. On top of that, they had an obvious attitude, coming across as irritated and dismissive whenever I asked anything, as if helping a customer was a burden. Honestly felt like a waste of time walking in. Avoid this place if you expect even basic customer service.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
