Eye doctor Dr. Khangura was amazing—kind, attentive, and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Sales representative Saadia (#428406) was just as amazing. She has helped us in the past too, which is why I was so happy she was there to assist me again. Saadia is knowledgeable, and I truly appreciate her genuine recommendations with no sales pressure. Everything she suggested felt like it was in my best interest, not hers. As a Realtor®, I know a thing or two about closing a deal without the hard sell—and this team nailed it. If only every home inspection went this smoothly! I highly recommend Dr. Khangura and Saadia if you're looking for an amazing experience as well.

I had a fantastic experience at LensCrafters in Richmond Mall, all thanks to the sales associate named Pinder! He was incredibly helpful and very professional Pinder helped me adjust my newly bought eyeglasses as they were too tight on my nose. They now fit perfectly on my face and do not pinch the bridge of my nose. please ensure Pinder is recognized for this exceptional client experience.! I highly recommend this location.

I recently purchased a pair of eyeglasses at this store in Richmond Center. They had a promotion for 40% off lenses if purchased with frames. They have a good selection of frames to choose from, including brand names. The sales person, Saadia, was polite and professional to talk to about my choice of frames and the various options for my lenses. No sales pressure and no up selling. She let me do the choosing. She even offered me 50% discount on the single vision lenses that I chose. Thanks, Saadia! I would recommend Saadia to anyone who may be considering purchasing vision products at this store.

I went to LensCrafters around 5pm today (Sunday) and honestly the experience was really disappointing. I had seen good reviews for this location, so I didn’t expect this at all. When we walked in, no one greeted us even though the store was pretty empty. There was only one other customer, and I noticed the employee helping him was really nice and attentive, so I thought the service would be good. But when it was my turn and I approached to ask a question, the experience felt completely different. It was my first time using insurance for eyeglasses, so I was just trying to ask if there was a way to check the balance. I didn’t even get to finish my question before the employee dismissed it, and the way she responded made me feel like I was asking something stupid. I’m referring to the employee wearing a headscarf. I was just genuinely confused and trying to understand, not being difficult. I’ve worked in retail before, so I know people ask all kinds of questions and it’s important to be patient and respectful. The difference in how we were treated compared to the other customer was really noticeable, and it honestly made us feel uncomfortable and a bit embarrassed. I’m not sure what caused that difference, but it didn’t feel right, especially since we came in expecting the kind of service reflected in the reviews. I would really appreciate it if questions could be answered in a more patient and understanding way, especially for first-time customers who are still learning. I might have just misunderstood the tone, but in the moment it felt a little discouraging. I was trying to be polite and just needed some guidance. I hope moving forward all customers can have a consistently welcoming experience, as that’s what I was expecting when we visited. Based on this experience, I would personally rate it very low, and honestly would have given it a 0 if that were an option.

Last year, I purchased prescription glasses for my 5-year-old son. At the time, the staff told us that by paying an additional $42 we could get a one-year guarantee that would allow us to replace the glasses if anything happened to them. Since the glasses were for a young child, we agreed and paid the extra amount. This year, during my son's annual check-up, we returned to the store to replace the glasses under the guarantee, especially because the quality of the frames turned out to be quite poor. However, we were told that in order to use the guarantee, we now have to pay an additional $50! This was very disappointing and not what was explained to us when we purchased the guarantee. A guarantee should mean that the replacement is covered within the agreed period, not that additional fees will suddenly appear later. Unfortunately, this experience felt misleading and unprofessional.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
