I finally decided to go to the gym because I was feeling the muscle loss, knee pain when walking, and my joints felt rusty and sluggish. The Club 16 Trevor Linden Fitness currently has 17 gyms across almost the entire Greater Vancouver area, providing equipments for training various body parts. The staffs are friendly and helpful, readily available to assist when needed. Members are happy to explain how to use the equipment if needed. It's open except for certain family holidays, and the hours are very flexible, making it convenient even for working professionals. Today was my first day as a member, and I did several exercises on different machine parts, such as row ERG, dual pulley row, leg extension, lat pulldown, seated dip, low back, chest press, etc. Although I felt tired after exercising, I was happy to have a good start. For my health, I will make exercise a priority in my daily routine. I am grateful to the founder for establishing gyms with the initial intention of improving people's health, and I highly recommend starting your own health plan with Club 16 Trevor Linden Fitness. Wishing everyone health, happiness, and a Merry Christmas and New Year. Arthur on 2025/12/23

Disappointing and Embarrassing Experience: I’m writing to share my disappointment regarding an experience I had today at the Club 16 Trevor Linden Fitness location in Maple Ridge. I recently returned to Canada after living in the U.S. for the past two years. I am currently staying in Maple Ridge and consider myself local to the area, even though I do not yet have a permanent address. I have never held a membership with Trevor Linden Fitness, nor have I ever used a free or promotional pass at any of your locations. Despite this, I was denied a standard three-day pass solely because my driver’s license lists a Kelowna address rather than a Maple Ridge one. This was particularly frustrating given that your website allows users to sign up for a free pass without any indication that residency within a specific municipality is a requirement. The interaction itself was embarrassing and humiliating. I was treated as though I was attempting to game the system, when in reality I was a potential new member exploring a gym I may very well have joined. I am staying in the area now and expect to be in the Greater Vancouver region going forward, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Quite honestly, this situation has made me not want to sign up for a membership with Club 16 at all. It’s difficult to justify committing to a gym that is unwilling to offer even a short trial to someone who has never used your facilities before — particularly under circumstances involving relocation and housing transition, which are not uncommon. I wanted to bring this to your attention because this policy (or at least how it was enforced) cost you a potential member today, and it left me feeling uncomfortable enough that I don’t intend to return.

If it wasn't for the inexpensive membership fee, this place would not be worth going to at all. The staff are very friendly, but the rest of the gym is mediocre at best. Much of the duplicated equipment isn't needed, but equipment that is always busy there is only one of, resulting in wait times and no way to 'call dibs' other than awkwardly standing around. The inclined leg press is a prime example because there's two other leg press machines no one seems to enjoy or use - why not just replace them with equipment people actually want? There are also two elipticals that no one ever uses and another inclined leg press can be added. There's only two smith machines, and they're not straight up-and-down. There is no Hip Thrust machine on the 'general side' but there is on the She's Fit side sadly, and there is no hack squat or pendulum squat machine, even though they would be super popular immediately. The pipes above the Pulldown machine leak often. The ceiling is dingy looking, giving the entire gym a dungeon look. If management is serious about improvement, here's what I recommend: Remove seldom used equipment to make space such as the two elliptical close to the inclined leg press, one of the standard leg press machines, add a new inclined leg press , add one or two hack squat machine, add one hip thrust machine to the 'general' side - this would remove some crowd from the smith machines and there would be no need to add another. Also, adding a way to put your name to wait-list for a machine would be ideal.
