  I ended up receiving help from Jay signing up for a 3 month membership due to a temporary visit in Canada. He was not only extremely helpful during the signup process, but was willing to talk with me about training, nutrition, and even powerlifting! All of the staff here at this Club16 were super friendly. Overall this is one of the best gyms Ive ever trained at.

  I paid close to $1000 for personal training, and even spent an extra $50 for a doctor’s note, only to end up receiving a cheque for just $143.85. That alone is unacceptable. On top of that, I went through two different trainers who both quit. The second trainer didn’t follow up with me for an entire month and had already quit without even informing me. I was left completely in the dark. When I brought this up, Randy (Fitness Manager) told me this was not the team’s fault which is honestly shocking. How is it not your responsibility when your staff quits, communication fails, and the client is ignored? This experience showed a complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and respect for customers. I would not recommend Club16 to anyone looking for reliable personal training or proper customer care.

  Love the staff and clients. It’s a go getter gym. No one is socializing while doing sets they all seem to step Aside or use their time to talk during functional Workouts. The staff are personable and always friendly. And my favourite part, the humble atmosphere THIS Maple Ridge location has curated. My only issue I’d say I have is the painful chitchat I over hear from sales staff to prospective gym goers. There’s so many great things about this gym, yet, I feel the sales tactic is very “corporate” yet wanting the sales staff to compete against competitive commissions and offer the best customer service. They seem very rehearsed and “by the training manual” yet many of the staff on regular relaxed hours/time, they are very personable and friendly.

  Counter staff are very nice and always greet you on entering and saying good bye in the way out. Gym is kept clean and neat. The only complaint is the parking , find it a bit short at 2 hours should be 3 like the community Center parking and most frustrating there are times there is no parking. You have to keep rounding the block to hopefully get a spot as street parking is only an hour. One time it took me 15 minutes of going around the block till someone left the parade. Very frustrating.

  The gym is large with lots of equipment. They have free weights, weight machines, lots of cardio equipment and a separate large ladies only section. Andy gave us the initial tour and was very helpful and friendly. When we came back to sign up we are helped by Kunal who was very friendly and accommodating. He also brought in the manager Randy to explain the personal trainer packages. Randy was able to thoroughly explain everything and gave us so much information. This location has a lot of free amenities. Tanning, red light therapy, sauna, massage chair. I've only been a few times but it hasn't been very busy and there's no wait to use the equipment. I'm very happy so far.
