My husband and I received joined FT in Langley, and signed up for a package of personal training sessions to get us started. We worked with Joe who was great to work and gave us great workouts. He also set us up with several programs (upper, lower and full body) that we can do on our own over the next few months. We will definitely be booking more sessions with him down the road.

Recently joined at Fitness world gym, and it's hands down the best decision for my health journey. The state-of-the-art equipment is always spotless, and the variety of classes—from high-energy cardio to calming yoga. They customize plans to my goals and offer genuine motivation without the hard sell. The gym is clean and spacious . Affordable plans, no hidden fees. If you're serious about fitness, join now, you won't regret it!

0 STARS TO THIS GYM, SPECIALLY 0 STARS TO THAT MANAGER NAMED LALIT! If you are not a member yet, please read this!! My experience at Fitness World Langley has gone significantly downhill, and the main reason is because of the current “manager” , Lalit. From the moment you walk in, the difference in atmosphere is noticeable. The front desk staff are consistently friendly and professional, but that positive energy does not come from management. Instead, there is a clear sense of tension and discomfort that seems to affect both members and employees. The way the manager carries himself comes across as unapproachable and overly critical, which is not what you expect in a place that should promote motivation and well-being. Communication has been one of the most frustrating parts of this experience. I have personally sent close to 20 emails trying to resolve my girlfriend’s concerns regarding her membership, and I have not received proper responses. Being ignored at that level is unacceptable for any business, especially one that relies on long-term memberships. It shows a lack of accountability and respect for members’ time and concerns. I would also strongly advise people to be cautious when it comes to reviews and promotions tied to this location. The manager appears to be pressure to leave 5-star reviews in exchange for a free pass. If that’s the case, it raises serious questions about how authentic the rating of this gym really is. On top of that, the marketing tactics are misleading. The “last day to enroll for $1” promotion seems to be ongoing, creating a false sense of urgency. When something is constantly presented as the “last chance,” it stops being a promotion and starts feeling deceptive. I’ve also heard consistent feedback from other friends regarding the same management style at the Fitness World Surrey location back when this manager was there. While I can’t speak for every situation personally, hearing similar concerns about how staff where treated only reinforces the impression that this is not an isolated issue. What stands out the most is the clear focus on sales over everything else. While every business needs to be profitable, a gym should not feel like a pressure driven sales environment at the expense of member experience. The lack of balance here is noticeable. I personally think that a gym is supposed to be a place where people feel comfortable, motivated, and supported. Right now, this location AND THE MANAGER fails to deliver that. The environment with him around feels tense, the communication is lacking, and the overall experience has declined to the point where I actively avoid coming here, and it’s all because of this management. This is not based on just one bad visit, it’s a consistent pattern over time. And when multiple issues continue without being addressed, it reflects a deeper problem in how the location is being managed. At the end of the day, the equipment and facilities don’t really matter if the environment itself is not welcoming. Leadership sets the tone for everything, and right now, that tone is driving people away rather than bringing them in. I’m leaving this review in the hope that it leads to real changes. This location has potential, and the staff deserve better support and direction. But until something improves at the management level, I would NOT recommend this gym to anyone looking for a positive and respectful place to train. They should definitely do something about this “manager” that doesn’t really know how to manage anything

I encourage any young athletes that may be going to this gym to be VERY careful with their cancellation policy. My son had called to cancel in January and was told he needed to come in person to do so. He was injured shortly after while playing hockey in the lower mainland and had to come back home. In the meantime withdrawals still came out of his account and the last thing on his mind was the membership. He called , emailed then finally got a response saying " that he didn't cancel in the matter needed" No flexibility, no compassion, not even meeting us half way . Instead they got 3 months from a young athlete that was injured and couldn't go. Stars for the equipment don't matter if the billing practices and customer care are this rigid.

I’ve been a member at Fitness World Langley for over two years, and this has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve dealt with. Last March I tore my ACL and had to undergo surgery. A few days after the injury, while I was completely immobile and waiting for an MRI, I called the gym to explain the situation. I was assured by a staff member that my membership would be put on hold until I was physically able to return. I even offered to provide a doctor’s note if they needed proof. Two weeks ago my surgeon and physiotherapist finally cleared me to slowly start training again. When I returned to the gym, I was told my membership had never been put on hold and that my account had accumulated hundreds of dollars in missed payments and fees. So despite following their instructions and trusting what their staff told me, I was suddenly expected to pay hundreds of dollars for there mistake. I was told the manager would call me to sort it out. Over the next two weeks I called multiple times and was repeatedly told he was “busy” or “not there” and would call me back. That call never happened. No follow-up, no accountability, nothing. To make it even worse, I was forced to pay a $20+ drop-in fee that day just to work out, even though I had already been a paying member for years. After being a loyal member for over two years and dealing with a serious injury and surgery, the way this was handled is honestly pretty shocking. The lack of communication, responsibility, and basic customer care here is unacceptable. If this is how they treat long-time members when something goes wrong, I would strongly recommend taking your membership somewhere else.
