I have Thyroid eye disease and cataracts.My vision has been very bad for many years and I am waiting for surgery which could take 2 years. I needed temporary glasses to help me. After receiving my glasses, I tried them on. For the first time 12 years I could see again. I did not realize how bad my vision had become over the years. The new glasses corrected my vision so well I almost cried. Thank you so much Specsavers staff. Your the best.

The optometrist planned to use numbing and dilation drops but did not explain what they were, why they were needed, or how they would affect my vision. I had to ask multiple questions myself to understand what was being done. As someone who was driving, this was especially concerning. Dilation can significantly impact vision and light sensitivity, and this should have been clearly explained beforehand so I could make an informed decision or arrange alternate transportation. I understand these are routine procedures, but informed consent and patient education are essential parts of safe and respectful care. I felt hesitant and uncomfortable proceeding because I wasn’t properly informed. I hope this feedback encourages better communication with patients in the future.

My husband and I both had measurements done by someone else and were so disappointed when we both had vision issues with the first set. So grateful to Irene for redoing and meticulously ensuring measurements were correct and totally fixing the issues with the both sets. She was so great that I went back for a set of task glasses and got the same amazing results!! Thank you Irene!

Our comprehensive eye exams cost $99 at participating stores and include an OCT scan at no additional charge. This is a detailed 3D image of your eye and its structures, helping your optometrist to spot eye conditions even earlier. If you're 65 or over you can get a comprehensive eye exam with no out of pocket expense to you (costs covered by provincial health care plan for eligible patients).
How do I book an eye exam?
You can easily book an eye exam with us online. Just select the store and click ‘book appointment’ and our website will be able to easily take you through the booking process! You can also just give us a call or pop in and see us and we'll be able to book you in for an appointment and help with any questions you might have.
Can I return my glasses?
Yes, we want you to be completely happy with your purchase at Specsavers. If you have any concerns within three months of the date of purchase, we'll put it right.
How can I amend or cancel my order?
If you placed your order in-store with us and you’d like to amend or cancel it, just pop in and see us. As a part of our no worries, no fuss guarantee, you're able to amend or return your glasses within 3 months.
Can I get my glasses adjusted/repaired?
If you’re experiencing any discomfort or issues at all with your glasses, just pop in and see us and we'll see if we can adjust or repair them in-store for you.
