Club Pilates Ahwatukee is a boutique Pilates studio specializing in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. Pure to Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, but modernized with group practice and expanded state-of-the-art equipment, Club Pilates offers high-quality, life-changing training at a surprisingly affordable price.
Leaving 5 stars here despite what felt like a 1 star experience as I am not trying to come across as a harsh customer, but I was a bit disappointed with how the 5 minute policy was handled today. I arrived 6 minutes after class for a 1.5 with Kylee and was told I could not attend. I apologized and explained that my baby was having a difficult daycare drop off (she is 4 months), so it took me a little longer to settle her.
It was explained as a safety concern related to missing the warm up, but at this studio warm ups are often quite brief (with some instructors none at all) , sometimes around a minute, so its not really a warm up by the conventional definition. The class was also not fully booked, with more than half the reformers empty, so I did not feel like it would have inconvenienced others as I went and set up. I have also seen people walk in closer to 10 minutes late with the door still unlocked, which made this feel a more inconsistent and confusing. I have been attending CP in both Canada and the US since 2016, so I am familiar with the policies, expectations and exercises discretions.
I completely understand that policies are in place for a reason, but in one off situations like this, especially for a new mom whose baby has just hit the four month regression and is not sleeping well, the effort to show up is already significant. In those moments, a little kindness and discretion can go a long way. Being turned away was not upsetting, it was more of a “come on really”, and I ended up driving straight to a packed Reformed Pilates class at 10am just to be able to take a class and justify the cost of the two hours of drop in daycare I had arranged to get a workout in today. No part of either experience made or broke my day, but it is this kind of lack of consideration that can leave a lasting impression. To the club manager, I hope this can be taken as thoughtful feedback shared with good intentions.

Absolutely loved the free trail class. The instructor was so kind while teaching the class. I was nervous at first but it was the best. I definitely will be going back soon!

I started with their free intro class and fell in love! Not only was the space clean but the instructor Jessica was very friendly! I signed up for their Black Friday membership deal and am looking forward to getting back into shape. My favorite thing about the pilates machine is that there isn’t “leg day” or “ab day”, at each workout you work all parts of your body. In the past I was a floor/mat Pilates girlie for 11 years or so as a primary workout and I will say the Pilates machine is much easier on my joints. I highly recommend this for beginners + pros
