  Pharmacies aren’t typically a notable experience for me, but this one was, solely because of just how unprofessional the pharmacist is. I have my passport as my form of ID and never have an issue at other pharmacies (including other SAFEWAY pharmacies), but the pharmacist here has made rude comments several times implying that is an unacceptable form of ID. She began to interrogate me over why don’t I bring my drivers license, etc. and she literally asked me in an ACCUSATORY and personal manner why I don’t have my driver’s license. It was so inappropriate and invasive for the context. Additionally, she told me the prescription I have been prescribed by an experienced doctor and have been taking for YEARS cannot be taken together. I have done my research on the interactions and there are minor possibilities (small increased seizure risk) but definitely not something where you can say an absolute “You cannot take these medications together” and override my doctor who explicitly prescribed them together and informed me that the risk is very small and she commonly prescribes this very effective combination. When I told her this, she said that she means “you just can’t take it at exactly the same time in the same dose.” there is nothing said about that anywhere regarding my combination of medication. Just so unprofessional, confrontational, and invasive. I’m changing pharmacies ASAP.

  For eight years, my go-to pharmacy has been the Safeway Pharmacy located at 32551 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale. In all that time, I have never once been disappointed. This place is a rare example of where impeccable professionalism meets genuine human kindness. The staff are always friendly, positive, and truly attentive to customers' needs. They constantly go above and beyond for me, and over the years, we've become almost like friends. Miranda, Terri, Christine — sweet ladies, what would I do without you? Today, Pharmacist Christine Knecht once again demonstrated the highest level of care and expertise. My previous prescription from my doctor had expired, and instead of just informing me, Christine proactively took the initiative to help. She personally took care of contacting my doctor's office to request a new prescription. Thanks to her, all I have to do is come and pick up my medication. Knowing I can always rely on her to go the extra mile is an invaluable feeling. Thank you to the entire team for creating an atmosphere where you feel like a cared-for person, not just a number in a queue. I wholeheartedly recommend this pharmacy to anyone who values quality, reliability, and a human touch!

  This pharmacy has no redeeming value. Worthless. Really used to be a nice place to get a flu shot. The staff is completely incompetent.
