I’m a 48 year old business owner working with Otto the last 6 months. My only regret is I didn’t start sooner. Understanding adult ADHD and how to use it as a true superpower has been so liberating and life changing!!

Otto is unique. He weaves together very simple building blocks into easily digestible practical plans that fit each individual’s needs. I have always had challenges in finding healthy actions to beat my ADD-like ways of processing information. Otto has changed my point of view for the positive, and unlocked my own power. I highly recommend working with him if you suspect you process things differently that the stays quo. Thank you, Otto 🙏

Genius Coaching aims to recognize and cultivate the inherent abilities and potential within each child. It also assists parents in fostering and directing their child's development and expression of these innate talents. This approach often addresses behavioral or performance issues at school or home, leading to a more content, involved, and cheerful child.
What's the best age for a child to receive Genius Coaching?
Generally, the earlier a child begins Genius Coaching, the better. Children aged seven and above can benefit significantly. For older children, there may be more accumulated experiences of not fitting in or meeting expectations to address. Early intervention can prevent the development of negative habits and thought patterns, making it easier to provide a fresh start in learning.
What the upper age limit for a child to benefit from Genius Coaching?
Genius Coaching is effective for children of all ages, from primary school through college. While the coaching techniques may vary based on the child's age, the ultimate goal remains consistent: to achieve lasting, positive change in the child's life and learning approach.
How long does Genius Coaching take?
Typical Genius Coaching programs consist of weekly one-hour sessions over an 8 to 12 week period. This initial phase provides fundamental training for both the parent and child. Following this, we recommend bimonthly follow-up sessions to ensure parental coaching aligns with the child's ongoing mental, physical, and social development.
How do we get started with Genius Coaching?
To begin Genius Coaching, contact our office to arrange an initial evaluation session for your child and at least one parent, preferably both. During this session, we will conduct interviews with both the child and parent(s) to understand your reasons for seeking our services, discuss any behavioral issues at school or home, and determine if Genius Coaching is suitable for your child.
How do you determine if Genius Coaching is appropriate?
We assess the suitability of Genius Coaching through several factors. It's important to note that Genius Coaching is not therapy and doesn't use a therapeutic approach. In rare cases where a child may require counseling or therapy for issues like PTSD, this would need to be addressed before coaching. Additionally, parental willingness to participate in coaching sessions is crucial for the program's success.
Why do you require the parent or parents to participate?
Parental participation is essential in Genius Coaching as parents play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining the coaching strategies in the home environment. Similar to how animal trainers focus on the owner's behavior, we emphasize parental responses to their child's actions. Parents act as daily coaches between sessions, ensuring consistency in the child's development. For college-aged clients, parental involvement may be less intensive, as these students are expected to self-coach effectively between sessions.
My child is wonderful - but a genius? I'm not sure I want my child pressured to live up to that label. That sounds like a lot of stress.
Genius Coaching doesn't aim to create high-pressure academic achievers. Instead, it recognizes that genius manifests in diverse forms beyond traditional academic measures. Our approach helps children discover and express their unique talents, which can range from creative arts to leadership skills. By focusing on a child's natural gifts, we often see reduced stress levels and increased joy as children shift from resisting external pressures to exploring their internal strengths.
How do I know if my child and I would benefit from Genius Coaching?
Genius Coaching can benefit nearly all children and parents, as every child possesses unique talents and every parent can learn to nurture these gifts. Our process involves identifying your child's innate abilities and guiding you in channeling these into meaningful, satisfying activities. This approach often leads to increased joy and self-esteem for both the child and, by extension, the parent.
My child doesn't test very well, and finds this very discouraging. What do I tell them?
It's important to first examine your own feelings about your child's test scores, as children often sense parental disappointment or worry. Understand that standardized tests typically measure a narrow range of skills, primarily in math, logic, reading comprehension, and memorization. These tests often fail to recognize many other valuable talents and abilities. Reassure your child that these tests do not define their worth or potential, and that their unique gifts are valuable, even if not measured by conventional testing methods.
What is the primary goal of Genius Coaching?
