  Professional, caring, and intelligent is the office staff and as is Dr. Wasson. I felt heard in my complicated TMJ challenge. A rare find. I highly recommend these professionals.

  I want to take a moment and express my sincere gratitude to the team over at Arizona Jaw Surgery. I had experienced over a decade of debilitating jaw, facial, and neck pain and had also felt incredibly lost, frustrated, and confused. I did not understand TMJ after all that time and had met with multiple surgeons and pain specialists throughout the years who could not provide me with any answers/a road to recovery. Dr. Michael Wasson changed all that. He performed my surgery almost 2 years ago and I can confidently say that not only has my overall pain levels have decreased, but I also have much more clarity surrounding my diagnosis and disease. Dr. Wasson is one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. His sincere bedside manner is unheard of in this fast paced world of medicine. He was INCREDIBLY patient and spent several hours just listening to my history instead of immediately just diagnosing me and rushing me out the door. I have never felt so heard as a patient in my life! On top of that, he spent a significant amount of time making sure I understood what has been going on with my jaw joint after all these years and how it has affected the rest of my body. I finally understood. I also want to express my deep appreciation for Jen, the office coordinator. She consistently answered my MANY phone calls within 30 seconds and helped my family and I navigate the heavy confusion that comes with pre-auth and health insurance. She always had a smile on her face and always made me feel heard. Thank you Jen for everything! Overall, 5 stars is not enough to give to Arizona Jaw Surgery. Many people are quick to judge a practice in a black and white manner on if they experience pain relief in the end or not, but it is SO much more than that. This practice is a clear example of what every specialist and team should strive for. Over two years later, I still remember the incredible experience I had as a patient, and every healthcare facility I have been to since is competing for first place with them in my mind. If you are also feeling lost about your TMJ or facial pain, I cannot recommend Dr. Michael Wasson and his team enough.

  I spent an hour and a half with Dr. Wasson, and he was fantastic. I never felt rushed, he answered all of my four pages of questions and gave me all of my options in an honest and direct conversation. Highly recommend

  It took me a while to finally write this review because I was struggling not with my results, but with my recovery. I had double jaw surgery a few months ago and this procedure is no joke. That said, now that I am many months out, I can finally appreciate the wonderful work of Dr. Wasson. Besides the medical issues the procedure corrected (holy cow, I can BREATHE!) the care and attention taken to the aesthetics of my face is incredible. I still look like me, but with an actual chin now that is not an implant. He quite literally accomplished exactly what I wanted. It's astounding how accurately he nailed it. On top of that, his office and entire staff are lovely and extremely responsive every time I had even the tiniest worry. Thanks for my new face and new life, Dr. Wasson!
