The staff is friendly and professional, especially the pharmacists. Sometimes there is a wait/line.

I am hoping that the person(s) who are tasked with overseeing the territory that specifically includes the Albertsons Pharmacy at 11475 E. Via Linda, sees this and takes note of how much of an asset the current staff is to their company. Currently, I am l someone who is not able bodied (fingers crossed tech in the medical field advances enough to change that). The sad truth is doctors’ offices and pharmacies are some of the places I have been mistreated and/or dismissed the most often. No one has said specifically it is because of the medications I take (some as long as 12 years & others at least 5 years) and accompanied by my younger age, but by context clues from the many, many cruel, sometime just outright dehumanizing encounters, there is no doubt in my mind that their personal bias clouding their actions stems from that combination. There seems to have always been an issue with filling a handful of my medications that I need to function in day to day life. This could include many things such as; miscommunication on fill dates, stock issues that were not an issue the day before I filled but then the next day I am suddenly made to go without my meds leading to dangerous situations without any solution or care for my safety, unable to get in touch with the pharmacist, unforeseen pricing increase with no explanation or assistance to find ways to help me get back to or even close to the original price, and the list truly goes on. Since I began filling my medications at this Albertsons, I have yet to encounter any issue. The pharmacist, Brian always ensures my medication is in stock a couple days before the refill to ensure I do not go without my medication for a day. If I have a later in the day doctor’s appointment that medication is being sent to be filled the same day, Brian ensures it will be done by EOD, but normally has it done within the hour. Andrew the pharm tech, has consistently helped me find lower medication prices. In one instance, one of my medications went from being $20 to the next month being $60. He did this TWO months in a row. I had to hold back tears of gratitude while in line because the extra $40 I was going to have to pay was literally the only money I had to set aside for a week and a half worth of groceries. I am sure he does not think finding a coupon that saves me that $40 is a big deal but he is the reason I did not have to ration a box of macaroni & cheese over 3 days. Truly I am more grateful than people can understand. Also, there is a lovely woman who has assisted me in past months but the last 3x I have been there I had not seen her. I apologize for not remembering her name. She was also very helpful and kind. I really hope this store’s staff is recognized and is rewarded for their efforts. The disabled are often mistreated or brushed off when simply picking up & their paying for medication their doctor’s prescribe without a fuss because of issues behind the scenes we have no control over. We need more people in the medical industry like this team.
